According to the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage (INTC) of Humanity and National ICH, Binh Duong has 7 recognized heritages that need to be preserved and promoted further.

Binh Duong is a land with a long history of formation and development, a convergence of many ethnic groups living together. During the coexistence, the Binh Duong community has created a unique cultural heritage system, with rich content and diverse types. Particularly in the field of intangible cultural heritage, Binh Duong has hundreds of traditional festivals, dozens of craft villages, many types of folk performances and folk knowledge. As of May 2023, Binh Duong province has 2 intangible cultural heritages in the List of Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, 5 intangible cultural heritages in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Specifically: The art of Don ca tai tu (representative of humanity, recognized on December 5, 2013), The worship of the Mother Goddesses of the Vietnamese people (Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, recognized on December 1, 2016), Lacquer craft in Tuong Binh Hiep (Traditional craft village, recognized on April 6, 2016), Binh Duong pottery craft (Traditional craft village, recognized on February 3, 2021), Vo Lam Tan Khanh Ba Tra (Folk knowledge, recognized on February 3, 2021), Ky Yen Festival at Tan An Communal House (Traditional festival, recognized on January 12, 2022) and Ky Yen Festival at Di An Communal House (Traditional festival, recognized on February 2, 2023).

According to the assessment of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the work of preserving and promoting the values ​​of intangible cultural heritage representing humanity and the nation in recent times has made many important contributions to protecting and promoting the values ​​of the heritage system, thereby contributing to the good implementation of the Law on Cultural Heritage in Binh Duong province. To achieve these achievements, the culture, sports and tourism sector has received the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and all levels of government and departments in the province. Many State management documents on cultural heritage management have been issued to ensure effectiveness and longevity.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue many projects, plans and programs to gradually preserve recognized cultural heritages, create the most favorable conditions for these types of heritages, promote values ​​in community life, and contribute to economic and social development.

The work of honoring and rewarding individuals has been focused on implementing in accordance with regulations. In recent times, activities to preserve, promote, exploit and promote the values ​​of intangible cultural heritage representing humanity and the nation have been increasingly rich and diverse, such as: implementing scientific topics, publishing monographs, filming documentary films, permanent exhibitions, mobile exhibitions, posting articles on Binh Duong newspaper, website of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, posting news articles on the Provincial Museum's Facebook page.

In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Youth Union to develop and organize practical programs and movement activities such as: extracurricular activities for union members and youth at craft village relics, thematic activities on cultural heritage, integrating the content of intangible cultural heritage into competitions...

Unique sophistication in Binh Duong ceramic products

To preserve and develop intangible cultural heritage, according to artist Nguyen Van Quy (Provincial Literature and Arts Association), there needs to be proper attention and investment. In particular, traditional lacquer art in Binh Duong has had its own identity, contributing to the glory of Vietnamese culture. Therefore, preserving and developing traditional lacquer art in Binh Duong is urgent, requiring the attention of associations, unions, enterprises and specialized state agencies. In addition, there is the planning of craft villages and the rearrangement of the scale of production organization of each enterprise, with appropriate support policies.
