Hung Vuong Museum - A place to preserve and spread historical and cultural values

Located in the center of Viet Tri ward, Hung Vuong Museum has become a special cultural meeting place, where historical memories are connected with the present, contributing to preserving and shining the sacred values ​​of the Ancestral Land - the origin of the Vietnamese people.

The Hung Vuong Museum was built with a unique architecture, simulating the traditional stilt house roof of the North combined with the Dong Son bronze drum pattern. With a floor area of ​​about 9,000m2, the museum is divided into many rich exhibition spaces. Of which, the permanent exhibition includes 49 art clusters according to 5 major themes: Nature - people of Phu Tho ; prehistoric and early historical periods; period of Chinese domination and feudal autonomy; resistance wars against foreign invaders; Phu Tho in the renovation process. In addition, the museum regularly organizes thematic exhibitions, creating new vitality for the museum space. Typical is the theme "Hung Vuong culture in the flow of Red River civilization" with more than 300 diverse archaeological artifacts, documents on Hung Vuong worship and Xoan singing - a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

In addition, the outdoor exhibition area with tanks, artillery, airplanes... recreates a part of the history of the national defense war. The ethnographic space of about 60 square meters gives the public the opportunity to learn about the daily life and customs of the ethnic groups in Phu Tho province. In particular, the ground floor of the museum stands out with a giant bronze drum - the symbol of "round sky, square earth" recalling the origin of the wet rice civilization of the Hung King period.

A large number of officials, people and students visited the exhibits at the Hung Vuong Museum.

Most recently, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Hung Vuong Museum organized a special exhibition "August Revolution 1945 - A historical milestone". With more than 310 images, documents and precious artifacts, the exhibition recreated the boiling atmosphere of the uprising, affirming the leadership role of the Party, Uncle Ho and the great contribution of the Phu Tho people in the historic victory. At the opening ceremony, comrade To Anh Tu - Director of the Hung Vuong Museum emphasized: "Each artifact here is a story about the bravery, sacrifice and burning desire for independence of the nation. This is not only a valuable document but also a "living history class", arousing the spirit of patriotism and responsibility for the homeland".

Along with the exhibition, the museum also organizes documentary screenings, history lessons and interactive experiences for students. Nguyen Thu Ha, a student at Viet Tri High School, shared: “Seeing with my own eyes the artifacts our ancestors used in the uprising, I clearly felt the sacrifice and will to gain independence. Classroom lessons become much more vivid when learned right at the museum.”

Since the beginning of the year, Hung Vuong Museum has welcomed more than 12,000 visitors and coordinated to organize many large exhibitions, such as: Exhibition and propaganda to serve the organization of the program Welcome Spring At Ty 2025; exhibition "Ancient Tet Space" and experiential activities, folk games on the occasion of Spring At Ty 2025; coordinated with Vinh Phuc Museum to organize the thematic exhibition "Hung Vuong Culture in the flow of Red River civilization" to serve the Hung Vuong Ancestor's Death Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival and the Cultural Tourism Week of At Ty 2025; coordinated with Nghe An Museum to organize the exhibition of photo panels about the heritage "Hung Vuong worship and Phu Tho Xoan singing" to serve the opening of the thematic exhibition "Nghe Tinh Vi, Giam folk songs and Phu Tho Xoan singing"...

In particular, the Museum is actively implementing the scientific topic "Application of VR3D technology to build a virtual reality museum", opening up access to historical artifacts on a digital platform. Experiential education activities are focused on, with 7 "history lessons" serving students from several schools in the province. In addition, the Museum also organizes a thematic exhibition "The Great Spring Victory of 1975 - The Strength of Great National Unity" and talks on the topic; organizes history lessons to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)...

From precious original artifacts, vivid thematic exhibitions to the application of modern technology, Hung Vuong Museum is gradually affirming its position as a typical cultural and historical center of the Ancestral Land. Not only preserving heroic memories, the museum also becomes a special "history classroom", nurturing faith, pride and aspiration to contribute in the young generation. In the midst of modern life, Hung Vuong Museum is not only a cultural destination but also a place to remind of the origin, where the past and present are in harmony, thereby spreading the spirit of "remembering the source when drinking water", cultivating the will and aspiration to build a prosperous country.
