Increase discharge flow of Ban Coc hydropower reservoir

On October 6, the Provincial Civil Defense Command issued Notice No. 54/TB-BCH on increasing the discharge flow of Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir.

The notice stated: At 12:00 on October 6, 2025, the Provincial Civil Defense Command received Notice No. 09 from Ban Coc Hydropower Plant - Que Phong Hydropower Joint Stock Company on the operation of water discharge from Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir, in accordance with the approved process, Ban Coc Hydropower Plant - Que Phong Hydropower Joint Stock Company announces the expected water discharge from Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir from 4:00 p.m. on October 6, 2025; with a total discharge flow of 11.16 m 3 /s - 500 m 3 /s (including discharge flow through the valve gate, flow through the spillway and power generation flow through the generators), and may change depending on the water flow to the reservoir.

Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir will stop discharging when the water level is no higher than the normal rising water level at 376m and cannot rise again.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command informs: Que Phong Commune People's Committee; Heads of provincial Departments, branches and sectors to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the area downstream of Ban Coc Hydropower Plant, to carry out necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and people.
