
According to a report by the Vietnam Customs Department on September 8, in September 2025, the total value of import and export goods of the whole country reached 82.49 billion USD, down 0.7% (equivalent to a decrease of 561 million USD) compared to the previous month.
Of which, the export value reached 42.67 billion USD, down 1.7%; the import value reached 39.82 billion USD, up slightly 0.4%. The trade balance of goods in September 2025 had a surplus of 2.85 billion USD, down 23.4% compared to August.
In the first 9 months of 2025, the total value import and export Goods are estimated to reach 680.66 billion USD, up 17.3% (equivalent to an increase of 100.51 billion USD) over the same period in 2024. Of which, export turnover reached 348.74 billion USD, up 16%; import turnover reached 331.92 billion USD, up 18.8%.
Vietnam's trade balance of goods in the first 9 months of 2025 continued to maintain a trade surplus with a surplus of 16.82 billion USD, although it decreased by 20.4% compared to the same period in 2024 (surplus of 21.15 billion USD).
Regarding state budget revenue from import-export activities, in September 2025, customs industry Revenue reached 36,082 billion VND, down 4.2% compared to the previous month.
Accumulated revenue in the first 9 months of the year reached 336,540 billion VND, equal to 81.9% of the assigned estimate and 71.6% of the target, up 9.9% over the same period in 2024.
