World silver prices surged to near historic levels

In the world market, spot silver prices have increased sharply, reaching 48.94 USD/ounce, up 2.3% compared to the same time on October 8. This increase shows the revival of the precious metal market when demand for safe havens and speculation increases.

Silver prices are hovering in a sensitive psychological zone, with investors cautious but still leaning towards a “buy the dip” strategy, according to senior analyst Christopher Lewis. Christopher Lewis said the $50/ounce mark is a “historic barrier” that has caused silver prices to rebound twice but quickly correct sharply in the past decades. Therefore, the price of silver approaching this threshold makes investors both hopeful and cautious.

He said the $46/ounce area is now acting as important support, while $50/ounce remains the clearest target for the uptrend. If the price breaks above this level, the market could open a new uptrend cycle.

The expert also warned of the possibility of a correction if the USD recovers. Because silver is closely correlated with the greenback, every time the USD increases, silver is often under corresponding downward pressure. However, Mr. Lewis said the main trend of the market is still strong, and shorting silver at the present time is very risky.
