(GLO)- Over two days (May 31 and June 1), the Gia Lai Provincial Center for Disease Control organized a professional training course for nearly 40 district-level medical staff working in school health in 2023.
At the training class, trainees were given general information by experts from the Provincial Center for Disease Control about first aid; broken bones; hemostasis and wound dressing; foreign bodies in children's airways; traffic accidents; falls; poisoning; electric shock; burns; animal bites and insect stings; some common injuries in children...

In addition, students are also provided with knowledge in assessing children's nutritional status; tooth decay; gingivitis; oral disease prevention; some eye diseases; mental health, etc.
In addition to theory, at the training class, trainees discussed, shared experiences and resolved difficulties in implementing school health work in the locality, and took an output test.
The training course aims to improve the capacity to implement school health work, improve knowledge and practice in preventing and controlling school diseases, contributing to reducing the incidence, controlling and limiting some risk factors of common school diseases, and effectively implementing the school health program for the 2023-2024 school year.
