Ovation of the Seas ship carrying more than 4,000 international tourists docked at Chan May port

According to information from the Hue Department of Tourism, on the morning of October 17, the cruise ship Ovation of the Seas carrying more than 4,000 international passengers docked at Chan May port (Hue city) on its way to Vietnam, after Cai Mep-Thi Vai port temporarily stopped receiving international cruise ships.

Chan May Port is currently considered an important destination for large cruise ships thanks to its strategic location between Da Nang and Hue, and its infrastructure system that is being upgraded. This is one of 46 recognized cruise destinations in Southeast Asia, capable of receiving cruise ships with a capacity of thousands of passengers, aiming to become an international standard cruise port.

According to Saigontourist representative, from November this year to April next year is the peak season for welcoming cruise passengers. During this period, the unit will welcome 4 more international trains including Celebrity Millennium with 1,800 passengers (November 9) and 3 Celebrity Solstice trains on November 10, November 22 and December 4, each trip about 2,800 passengers.

The fact that large cruise ships continuously dock at Chan May port shows the attractiveness of Hue as a destination on the international sea tourism map. The tourists have disembarked and divided into groups to visit Hue, Da Nang and Hoi An.
