Thai Nguyen and Hung Yen lead the 2025 National Mixed Martial Arts Club Cup

On July 20, the first National Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Club Championship 2025 concluded with 24 final matches in the men's and women's categories at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports.

On the final day of competition, the organizers will hold 24 final matches for the youth age group 16-18, and in the afternoon there will be gold medal matches for boxers over 18 years old.

In the final results, Thai Nguyen MMA team ranked first overall with 5 gold medals (HCV), 7 silver medals (HCB), 13 bronze medals (HCĐ). Hung Yen MMA team ranked second with 6 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 5 bronze medals. Bro Alliance MMA team (MBA) ranked third with 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 12 bronze medals. Ho Chi Minh City team ranked fourth with 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals.

The first National Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Club Championship in 2025 is the first tournament in the national system organized by the Mixed Martial Arts Federation and the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department is the professional supervisory unit. The tournament brings together 160 athletes from 24 Clubs, from 14 provinces and cities across the country, to compete. Athletes are divided into 2 age groups from 16-18 years old and over 18 years old. The age group from 16-18 will compete in the weight classes of 48kg, 52kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg and 77kg for men and the weight classes of 45kg, 58kg, 52kg, 56kg and 60kg for women. In the age group over 18, athletes compete from 52kg to 84kg for men and from 48kg to 65kg for women.

This is the first time that Vietnam Mixed Martial Arts has a tournament within the high-performance sports competition system issued by the Vietnam Sports Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ). The tournament plays an important role in developing the movement in localities, searching for potential athletes in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
