Speaking at the program, Lao Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Darany Phommavongsa affirmed that "Lao Cultural Week in Vietnam" is an important event, contributing to strengthening the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of the two countries.
The Lao Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism emphasized: "The art performances deeply reflect the cultural traditions and lives of Lao ethnic people; praising the strong and loyal friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos."
Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh affirmed that Thanh Hoa and many localities of Laos, especially Hua Phan province, have a long-standing traditional relationship, being both close neighbors and close brothers.
Over the years, Thanh Hoa has always focused on consolidating and expanding cooperative relations with Lao localities in many fields; in which culture plays the role of a connecting bridge, where the emotions, souls and identities of the two peoples are strongly intertwined and spread.
“Art exchange programs and cultural festivals like today are vivid proof of the faithful and steadfast friendship between Vietnam and Laos, as well as between Thanh Hoa and Lao provinces.
This is not only an emotional art party, but also an opportunity for us to review the tradition of friendship and solidarity between the two Parties, two States and peoples of the two countries, together looking towards a future of sustainable and effective cooperation," the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province emphasized.
Immediately after the speech, the Thanh audience enjoyed a colorful art program, with a series of special performances by Lao artists and artisans.
The opening performance was the Tay Sam Silk Dance, which honored the skill and sophistication of Lao women on traditional fabrics.
Next is the Lao panpipe - an intangible cultural heritage, blended with Vietnamese folk melodies, suggesting a long-standing cultural exchange.
The program's atmosphere is vividly recreated through the Thai Dam Kep Kieu dance recreating the bustling harvest season, the vibrant Ka Lo Pha Muon dance with traditional bamboo instruments, and songs imbued with Lao folklore.
The show ended with the Laos - Vietnam Friendship and Solidarity dance, depicting the close solidarity between the two peoples.
This art program is not only a colorful spiritual feast, with a modern breath interwoven with the traditional beauty of the Land of a Million Elephants, but also a vivid, emotional demonstration of the great friendship and special solidarity between the two peoples.
