Mountain youth join hands to build civilized urban areas

TPO - Responding to the peak day of Volunteer Soldiers building a Bright - Green - Clean - Civilized - Safe urban area, Hoa Binh Provincial Youth Union and Son La Provincial Youth Union planted thousands of trees and completed thousands of tasks.

Here, the units organized the inauguration and handover of the project "Road lit by solar energy" to support the implementation of criteria for building a civilized urban area in Com street, Vu Ban town, Lac Son district.

The project "Lighting up the Countryside" installs 10 lamp posts with a length of 1.5 km on Com Street, Vu Ban Town, with a total cost of 50 million VND.

The completed and put into use project not only contributes to realizing the criteria for building a civilized urban area but also contributes to ensuring social security, national defense and security.

On the same day, Son La Provincial Youth Union and 100% of ward and town Youth Unions in the province organized the Peak Day of volunteer soldiers to build a Bright - Green - Clean - Civilized - Safe urban area in the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign with many meaningful activities.

Accordingly, the program has deployed 12 volunteer teams to participate in building civilized urban areas with the participation of 360 union members and youths. Of which, there are 5 youth volunteer teams to build civilized urban lifestyle; 7 other youth volunteer teams.

Youth volunteers undertake to build 5 new routes and maintain 18 routes that are Bright - Green - Clean - Civilized - Safe.

In addition, the program planted 6,270 new trees on urban roads; organized 25 environmental cleaning sessions, dredged sewers; and dismantled illegal advertising signs.

The youth volunteer teams also renovated 10 children's playgrounds and distributed 250 leaflets to promote the prevention of plastic waste...

This is an activity to promote the pioneering and voluntary role of union members, youth and union organizations at all levels in building youth works and projects, contributing with local Party committees and authorities to effectively implement the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
