Viet Tri City cares about social security work

Identifying social security as one of the key tasks, every year the Viet Tri City Fatherland Front Committee closely coordinates with sectors, organizations, and localities to carry out many grassroots activities, especially helping poor households improve their lives. To effectively implement social security policies, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the city has deployed many synchronous solutions such as: Mobilizing contributions and supporting the "For the Poor" Fund; supporting the construction of Great Unity houses for households with difficult housing circumstances; supporting poor students to overcome difficulties and study well.

Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri City received support from Dinh Tien Hoang Primary School to support people affected by storm No. 3.

In 9 months, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have promoted the "For the Poor" Fund and social security programs with over 4.4 billion VND; from the fund, they organized visits and gave 2,757 Tet gifts with over 2.5 billion VND; coordinated with the Steering Committee for reviewing housing in the city to support the construction and handover of 23 solidarity houses, warm homes, camaraderie, kindness, and humanity with a total amount of 1.36 billion VND; organized medical examination and treatment, provided free medicine and supported economic development for 2,364 poor households, near-poor households, households in especially difficult circumstances, and policy families with an amount of 600 million VND.

The movement of gratitude, humanitarian charity continues to be promoted. The City Fatherland Front Committee has mobilized to build a "Gratitude" fund in 2024; advised the City Party Committee to establish a delegation to visit and present gifts to the families of heroic martyrs, Dien Bien soldiers, and frontline workers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory. Coordinated with branches and member organizations to organize activities to celebrate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day such as: Visiting the martyrs' cemetery, candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs; visiting and presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries and meritorious people with 1,000 gifts worth 330 million VND; organizing activities such as repairing and cleaning cemeteries, arranging flowers on the graves of heroic martyrs, helping with working days...

Representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri city presented funding to support the construction of a charity home for Ms. Nguyen Thi Bo, in group 9, zone 2, Van Co ward.

In particular, after Typhoon No. 3 Yagi made landfall, causing heavy damage in all localities in the province, the relief work to overcome the consequences was actively deployed and implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Responding to the call of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri City - the City Relief Mobilization Committee issued a notice to organize the reception of support. As of the end of September 17, about 100 units and philanthropists had participated in supporting with an amount of 774 million VND and many essential items.

Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri City received support from Thanh Mieu Ward to support people affected by storm No. 3 with an amount of more than 300 million VND.

Comrade Vu Kim Duc - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri city said: In the last months of the year, the City Fatherland Front Committee will continue to promote the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" . Mobilize support for the "For the poor" Fund, organize "Peak month for the poor" and social security activities; focus on mobilizing resources for activities to support the construction and repair of houses for poor and near-poor households with the goal of "not leaving the poor behind". Along with that, focus on organizing humanitarian relief work well, helping people in areas affected by natural disasters and epidemics overcome difficulties, gradually stabilize their lives.

Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri city will continue to promote social security work to create a widespread spread and promote the spirit of "Mutual love" in the community, thereby contributing to gradually improving the lives of poor households and disadvantaged people in the city.
