On October 1, 2025, a citizen commented on the Da Nang Feedback Portal about the traffic situation at the Nguyen Huu Tho - Duy Tan - Le Dinh Ly intersection: After installing the traffic light system at the Nguyen Huu Tho - Duy Tan roundabout, the traffic situation is still complicated. Vehicles entering the roundabout must still stop to give way to vehicles from other directions entering the roundabout (following the traffic light signals - PV)...

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cuc, who lives near the intersection, shared: “Previously, the intersection was constantly congested, with vehicles competing to go very dangerously. After the renovation, the situation has improved, but there are still many shortcomings. Hopefully, in the future, the city will continue to have solutions to expand this intersection, making traffic more convenient.”

Not only local residents, many technology drivers and tourists also complained. Mr. Tran Huu Nam, a Grap driver, said: Driving through here during rush hour means it takes a long time to get out of the intersection. In addition, the Duy Tan - Nguyen Huu Tho - Le Dinh Ly roundabout is full of cars parked day and night, which is very dangerous for traffic in the area.

According to the reporter's records, the Nguyen Huu Tho - Duy Tan - Le Dinh Ly intersection is one of the large intersections in the area; there are up to 5 roads leading to the intersection: Nguyen Huu Tho, Duy Tan, Le Dinh Ly, the road connecting Nguyen Huu Tho to Nguyen Tri Phuong and the road to Da Nang International Airport. This is also one of the important intersections of the city's central axis, connecting roads with high traffic density and large traffic volume.

Every day, the flow of vehicles from various places to Da Nang International Airport as well as from the city's suburbs to the city center, pouring into the intersection with high density. In particular, there are too many passenger cars, private cars, and motorbikes, causing congestion. Vehicles line up to enter the intersection, many vehicles try to weave through the lanes, making traffic even more complicated.

The main cause of this situation is determined to be the large area of the intersection, the opposing vehicles have not yet left the intersection, the vehicles at other intersections have run out of time to wait for the red light and start moving, leading to local congestion. Meanwhile, Duy Tan Street is the main artery leading from the center to Da Nang International Airport, and also connects to many office buildings, banks and administrative agencies as well as the eastern area of the city. Le Dinh Ly, Nguyen Huu Tho, Nguyen Tri Phuong Streets are branch routes with dense population, many shops and schools...

In response to the people's feedback, the City Department of Construction said that the project to repair, adjust, and enhance traffic safety at the Nguyen Huu Tho - Duy Tan - Le Dinh Ly intersection was constructed at the end of September 2025. Up to now, the construction has been completed and the green - yellow - red mode has been installed for trial operation. After a period of monitoring, it was found that the traffic situation at the intersection is stable, ensuring traffic order and safety and there is no longer congestion as before.

On September 30, the Da Nang Infrastructure Maintenance Board invited relevant agencies and units including: Department of Construction; Office of the City Traffic Safety Committee; Traffic Police Department; Hoa Cuong Ward Police; Da Nang Intelligent Traffic Operation Center; Da Nang International Airport and Nga Dai Viet LLC to inspect the actual site and agree on the time and operating cycle of the traffic light system at the intersection. Through monitoring, the traffic situation at the intersection is currently stable.

The Department of Construction has assigned the Da Nang Infrastructure Maintenance Board to continue monitoring the traffic situation at the intersection, coordinate with relevant units to adjust the light cycle (if any) appropriately to facilitate traffic through the intersection to ensure stability and traffic safety.

Previously, the Department of Construction has deployed the construction of repair, adjustment, and enhancement projects to ensure traffic safety at the Nguyen Huu Tho - Duy Tan - Le Dinh Ly intersection located in Hoa Cuong ward.

The project has the following construction scale: maintaining the geometric structure of the intersection, adjusting the initial sections of the existing median strip with prefabricated steel islands... The above-mentioned intersection renovation project has a total construction investment of more than 3.1 billion VND from the state budget.
