Expanding cooperation opportunities, attracting Singaporean tourists to Da Nang

On the afternoon of October 20, Scoot Airlines' first flight from Singapore landed at Da Nang International Airport, opening up more opportunities to attract tourists, strengthen connections and promote tourism cooperation between the two sides.

On the afternoon of October 20, Scoot Airlines flight TR314, departing from Changi International Airport (Singapore), landed at Da Nang International Airport with 174 passengers. This is the airline's first flight to Da Nang city.

Passengers were surprised by the solemn welcome program organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city at the International Arrivals area, Da Nang International Airport, such as the water cannon ceremony to welcome the plane, traditional art performances, giving flowers and souvenirs to passengers, and taking souvenir photos.

The visitors were excited and moved by the warm, friendly and hospitable welcome of the city.

According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city, with its close geographical location, convenient air connections and cultural similarities in the ASEAN region, the number of tourists from Singapore to Da Nang has recorded a steady growth trend.

The expansion of direct flights between Singapore and Da Nang, along with the operations of all three airlines Singapore Airlines, Vietjet Air and Scoot Airlines, has increased the total flight frequency from Singapore to Da Nang to 24 flights/week.

The flights have contributed to increasing tourist exchange between Singapore and Da Nang; at the same time, expanding opportunities for tourism cooperation between the two locations in the coming time.

The flight marked the official launch of Scoot Airlines' direct flight route from Singapore to Da Nang with a frequency of 3 flights/week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The airline plans to increase to 7 flights/week from January 2026. Flights will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity of 180-186 seats.
