Competition on making gifts and souvenirs for tourism in Kim Bong traditional craft village

In the competition of making gift sets for tourists , artisans, skilled workers, and craftsmen make products from wood representing the 12 zodiac animals with basic lines of traditional Kim Bong carpentry, with low product cost.

As a result, 5 sets of 12 heart-shaped zodiac animals, craft village logos and lantern images by 5 authors Nguyen Van Phu, Tran Van Trung, Le Van Vuong, Dang Huy Hoang and Huynh Van Tuan were recognized as products to be used as gift samples for tourists and experiencers.

In the contest of making souvenir products of Kim Bong traditional craft village, each individual must submit at least 2 products with traditional values, encouraging creativity in combining tradition with modernity. The products must be aesthetic, environmentally friendly, encourage the use of recycled materials and ensure safety for users; creative ideas, aesthetics, market efficiency, etc.

In this competition, the organizing committee awarded 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 2 encouragement prizes to 6 works; in which 2 second prizes belonged to the works "Soul of the Old Quarter" by author Phan Huynh Chau and "Whispering Through the Night" by author Le Van Vuong.
