Following the south wind, garbage from the sea washes up on the Mui Ne beach area.

This practical activity contributes to protecting the green, clean and beautiful natural landscape; at the same time, spreading the spirit of social responsibility in preserving the marine environment.

Every year from June to September, waste from the sea is carried ashore by the south wind. To solve this problem, a long-term solution is needed.

More than 100 people including local forces such as: Police, military , union members, ward youth, Ham Tien - Mui Ne Tourist Area Management Board, self-managed environmental sanitation clubs, tourism businesses and a large number of residents and tourists cleaned up and collected garbage along Hon Rom beach (Long Son quarter) and Ham Tien 2, 3 and 4 quarters. After the launch, a large amount of garbage was collected, gathered and taken away for treatment.

Mr. Dieter's family from Germany, who participated in the program, said: "I feel happy to join the people in cleaning the beach, because I like it here, the air and the scenery are wonderful, so when my family was walking, my wife and son also wanted to join in to contribute."

According to the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward, in recent years, ocean waste has been a big challenge for Mui Ne Ward in particular and coastal areas in general. Waste, especially plastic waste, not only damages the landscape, destroys the natural beauty of beaches that are loved by tourists because of their clear, clean beauty, but also seriously affects the marine ecosystem and pollutes the environment.

The 915th Regiment also participated in collecting garbage.

Faced with this situation, coastal localities in Lam Dong province have been implementing many measures to reduce plastic waste and protect the environment. Propaganda campaigns on environmental protection, especially plastic waste reduction, have been widely deployed to the community and tourists. Regular and periodic waste collection programs are organized; self-destructing, environmentally friendly bags are distributed to raise public awareness in joining hands to protect the environment, especially the marine environment. At the same time, units use environmentally friendly items to replace plastic and nylon products such as bamboo straws, paper cups, and paper bags.
