After being left out of the UEFA Super Cup squad by coach Luis Enrique, goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma posted a cryptic message on social media, suggesting that someone had influenced him to leave PSG.
"From the first day I arrived in Paris, I gave my all to defend the team's goal. However, someone decided that I could no longer contribute. I am really disappointed and frustrated," Donnarumma wrote.
Currently, the goalkeeper has not revealed his next destination. However, in his final words, Donnarumma expressed his desire to once again look into the eyes of the fans at Parc des Princes to say goodbye. At the same time, he expressed his gratitude to his teammates - the people he considers his second family.
"I hope to have the opportunity to look straight into the eyes of the fans at Parc des Princes once again to say goodbye properly," the 26-year-old goalkeeper wrote.

These words were posted shortly after coach Luis Enrique publicly confirmed that this was his "100% personal decision". This was to "find a new goalkeeper" and was fully supported by the club's leadership. PSG's spending of 55 million euros to recruit Lucas Chevalier was seen as the end of Donnarumma's future. Especially after negotiations to extend his contract broke down.
In addition, the Italian goalkeeper's agent - Enzo Raiola also publicly criticized PSG. Enzo Raiola accused the club of not respecting his client's 4 years of dedication. He revealed that Donnarumma was ready to take a pay cut, but the terms were changed at the last minute.
Despite the friction between the board and Donnarumma, he still receives maximum respect for what he has contributed to PSG by the players in the team.
Captain Marquinhos paid tribute to Donnarumma, saying: "It's always difficult. I've been here for 12, 13 years and I've seen other players go through the same thing," the Brazilian defender said.
"Life is like that and football is like that. One day, I will leave too. I hope it will be under the best possible conditions. But players come and go, but clubs, fans and history remain.
We don't know if he's going to stay or go. If he stays, of course we'll welcome him with open arms. Because what he did last season was incredible.
Thanks to him we got to the final and won the title. But if he has to leave, we will thank him."
