Prime Minister asks Hanoi to "not be formal, boastful, or empty"

(Dan Tri) - Emphasizing that this is an important time for Hanoi to seize the opportunity and accelerate action, the Prime Minister thoroughly grasped the spirit of "3 no's": No superficial formalities, no boasting, and no ineffective actions.

This spirit was emphasized by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh when speaking at the Hanoi City Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2025-2030 period on October 10.

Also attending the Congress were more than 600 delegates representing typical advanced collectives and individuals, good people and good deeds in the patriotic emulation movement of Hanoi City.

The Prime Minister summarized the patriotic emulation movement of the capital over the past 5 years in 20 words: "Positive changes - rich in unique identity - constantly creative - spreading trust - promoting development".

Despite many achievements, according to the Government leader, the emulation movement in the past period in Hanoi was still formalistic, not linked to the practical interests of the people; lacked initiative in discovering, fostering, and replicating advanced models, good people, and good deeds.

Besides, the work of rewarding, especially sudden rewarding is not timely.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this is an important time for Hanoi to seize opportunities, accelerate actions, fully promote its unique potential, outstanding opportunities, competitive advantages, pioneer, set an example, and lead and inspire the whole country in all activities, including patriotic emulation movements.

The Head of Government believes that emulation and reward work is an important driving force, an endogenous strength in socio-economic development, Party building, government and political system of the capital to become increasingly clean and strong.

Therefore, the capital's emulation movements in the new period must also have stronger breakthroughs, be more substantial and effective.

The Prime Minister proposed focusing on implementing "5 focuses - 3 nos - 1 consistent goal" in the emulation movements of the capital Hanoi.

In particular, the Prime Minister emphasized the following "3 no's": No formalities, no formalities; No boasting, empty talk, "talking but not doing"; No "doing ineffectively" and lacking the people's response.

The consistent goal emphasized by the Government leaders is to continue the nation's journey of "Independence - Freedom - Prosperity - Happiness", bringing the country steadily towards socialism.

With the goal of developing the capital into a center of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation not only in Vietnam but also in the region and the world, the Prime Minister asked more than 600 delegates who are typical advanced models and Emulation Fighters attending the Congress today to promote their capacity and intelligence, and always be the typical "nucleus" of patriotic emulation movements.

The Government leader believes that the mission, trust and responsibility placed on the capital Hanoi is extremely heavy but also very glorious and proud.

With the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country. The whole country for Hanoi", the people of the whole country are looking forward to the leading role, pioneering mission, and development creation of the capital Hanoi. Therefore, according to the Prime Minister, Hanoi must always be the pride of the country and the trust of the people.

He emphasized that the capital is not only a growth pole but also a driving force for the development of the entire region and the whole country; a place to "bring forth talents, unleash intelligence, spread humanity, harmonize with nature and progress with the times".

Also at the Congress, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh awarded the title "National Emulation Fighter" to individuals.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai awarded the title "Outstanding Citizen of the Capital" in 2025 to 10 individuals.
