Prime Minister inspects on-duty work of a number of military and police units

(NLDO) - On January 27, in Hanoi , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited, inspected the on-duty work and wished a Happy New Year to officers and soldiers of the units.

The units include: Department of Administrative Police for Social Order ( Ministry of Public Security ); Department of Security Investigation (Ministry of Public Security); Brigade K3, General Department II (Ministry of National Defense).

Accompanying the Prime Minister were General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member and Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security; and leaders of several ministries and branches.

At the units, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh cordially sent to the generals, officers, soldiers of the forces and their families his respectful greetings, warm regards and best wishes for the New Year.

Praising the spirit of being on duty at regular work as well as during Tet at the agencies, the Prime Minister also acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the efforts, struggles, achievements and feats of the units.

The Prime Minister believes that the forces will continue to promote the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army and the heroic Vietnam People's Public Security, achieve many outstanding achievements and feats, and make active and effective contributions to the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnam Fatherland in the new era, worthy of the trust and love of the Party, State and people's leaders.

Become a model unit implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo

Speaking to officers and soldiers of the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order (Ministry of Public Security), the Prime Minister assessed that in recent times, with a wide scope of work, many subjects, impact on the activities of people and businesses, many new and difficult tasks, the Department has done a good job of grasping the situation, advising the Party and the State, performing state management tasks, drafting legal documents, excellently completing assigned tasks, actively and effectively contributing to the common achievements and results of the Ministry, the Public Security sector and the whole country.

In particular, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the Project on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the 2022-2025 period, with a vision to 2030 (Project 06) and the construction of a national population database as a bright spot of the information technology industry and the Public Security sector.

The Prime Minister requested the Department to continue reviewing and doing well the emulation, commendation and timely encouragement work in implementing Project 06, and building advanced models.

In particular, the Prime Minister suggested that it is necessary to thoroughly grasp, develop plans, implement them well and effectively, becoming one of the model units in implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, continue to consolidate, strengthen and perfect the database, work with agencies to build a National Data Center, ensure connectivity with ministries, agencies, localities and data security, promote international cooperation on data to research and develop artificial intelligence, turn data into a new productive force in the creative economy...

Ensuring national security while creating development space

Visiting the Department of Security Investigation (Ministry of Public Security), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and commended the important contributions of the Department of Security Investigation to the overall achievements of the industry and the country in 2024, which has many difficulties and challenges.

In 2025, with new goals, new tasks, and new solutions, the People's Public Security force and the Security Investigation force must change their status along with the whole country; the organization and implementation must be "unanimous from top to bottom, consistent throughout".

Along with that, the Security Investigation Department must be a model unit in protecting national security, need to grasp the situation firmly, always be vigilant, absolutely not be negligent, subjective, lose vigilance in any circumstances; look far and wide, think deeply to do great things, be ready to fight and sacrifice; step up the fight, handle crimes, defeat the plots of reactionary organizations, hostile forces, opportunistic elements; do well the basic investigation work, prevention work, consider prevention as fundamental, strategic, long-term, prevent early, from afar, from the starting point; focus on drawing experience from practice, summarizing professional and theoretical work, improving combativeness, responding promptly and effectively to unexpected situations, firmly protecting national security, political stability, social order and safety.

Defense Intelligence is a vital force

At Brigade K3, emphasizing the position, role and importance of the Defense Intelligence Agency, the attention of the Party and State leaders to this force, the Prime Minister acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the feats, achievements and results that the Army, the Defense Intelligence Force and Brigade K3 achieved in 2024, effectively serving the two strategic tasks of building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the results achieved by the Brigade demonstrated the mettle, determination, fighting discipline and the persistent and resilient efforts and training of the National Defense Intelligence special reconnaissance soldiers, and highly appreciated the quality of training and combat readiness of the Brigade.

The Prime Minister assessed that after nearly 30 years of building, fighting and growing, Brigade K3 has always been an elite and loyal fighting force of the National Defense Intelligence, achieving many outstanding achievements, deserving to be the honored unit to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in the renovation period by the Party and State.

The Prime Minister requested the unit to continue promoting the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, of the National Defense Intelligence and of the Brigade under the leadership of the Party, closely attached to the people; taking building a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit as the central task; building a clean, strong, typical Party organization as the key task; always maintaining the ideological front, building cadres, employees and soldiers with steadfast, steadfast political will, absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, proactively overcoming difficulties, having high determination, ready to receive and successfully complete tasks in all situations.

Further improve the quality of training and combat readiness, train troops with truly elite technical, tactical, and professional expertise, good combat skills, good action skills, independent combat capabilities, and high combat strength, worthy of being one of the main action units in the combat formation of the National Defense Intelligence.

The Prime Minister noted that it is necessary to always have a firm grasp of the local situation, targets, and routes, always improve and innovate in operating methods, be ready to respond to all possible situations, and handle issues quickly, flexibly, promptly, and effectively.

The Prime Minister believes that, with a new stature, new spirit, new determination, the officers, employees and soldiers of Brigade K3 will continue to rise strongly, overcome all difficulties and challenges, excellently complete assigned tasks, contribute to beautifying the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers, and help the National Defense Intelligence Service always deserve to be an important, absolutely loyal and especially trustworthy force of the Party, State, Army and people.
