(Dan Tri) - The Head of Government had many meaningful activities, sharing joy with the people when attending the National Great Unity Festival of the residential areas of Sa De Phin commune, Sin Ho district, Lai Chau province.
On November 18, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the National Great Unity Festival in the residential areas of Sa De Phin, Hat Ho, Sang Phin, and Mao Sao Phin villages of Sa De Phin commune, Sin Ho district, Lai Chau province. Students from schools in the area welcomed the head of government . Arriving at Sa De Phin commune, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation were warmly welcomed by the people. Sa De Phin is a commune on the plateau of Sin Ho district, Lai Chau province, with 4 villages and 460 households, mainly Mong and Dao ethnic groups. Of which, Mong ethnic groups account for 80%. The commune has great potential for economic development such as the potential for community tourism development with a fresh, mild, cool climate, wild and majestic nature, many beautiful landscapes, the potential for developing medicinal plants, ancient tea with special flavors... Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Minorities Committee Hau A Lenh held hands with people and danced together at the National Great Unity Day. The Head of Government shared that he was very happy to attend the Day, immersing himself in the joyful, excited atmosphere filled with solidarity of the people of the whole country. According to the Prime Minister, solidarity is a precious tradition throughout the past struggle for national independence and unification as well as in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. The strength of national solidarity is an important driving force and a decisive factor in all victories of the Vietnamese revolution. "Over the past 20 years, the National Great Unity Day has become a beautiful tradition in residential areas, bringing the work of the Fatherland to the grassroots, reaching out to each family and each person," according to the Government leader. The Head of Government said that this is also an opportunity to commend and honor outstanding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, contributing to the building and development of the community. At the same time, this Festival is also an opportunity for leaders at all levels to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people, to encourage, motivate and support policy households and disadvantaged families. Art performance to celebrate National Great Unity Day in Lai Chau. The Prime Minister pointed out that Lai Chau is a province with an extremely important strategic position in terms of national defense, security and protection of national border sovereignty , and at the same time has many potentials and advantages for socio-economic development, but has difficulties in terms of transportation. He highly appreciated the province for concentrating resources, exploiting its unique potentials, outstanding opportunities, competitive advantages and achieving positive results in many aspects. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented school equipment to kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools in Sa De Phin commune worth 200 million VND. Despite many achievements, he said that the local socio-economic situation still has many difficulties and challenges. Economic development is uneven; the poverty rate is still high; people's income is still low and some people do not have stable jobs... The head of the Government also donated 50 million VND to the Sa De Phin Commune Education Promotion Fund. The Prime Minister requested the locality to urgently, seriously and on schedule implement investment projects in the area; well implement the 3 National Target Programs on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, build new rural areas and sustainably reduce poverty. The Prime Minister requested Lai Chau province to organize patriotic emulation movements well, encourage and motivate advanced models, outstanding collectives and individuals to create new momentum for emulation. In addition, the locality needs to pay attention to practicing and promoting democracy, listening to the opinions, thoughts and aspirations of the people; propagating and encouraging the people to continue promoting the identity and precious cultural values of ethnic groups, building a strong great solidarity bloc, and improving the effectiveness of socio-economic development. The Prime Minister also presented 10 Great Solidarity Houses to Lai Chau province, worth 500 million VND. The Prime Minister requested the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front, socio- political organizations and the people in the area to continue to join hands, uphold the spirit of self-reliance, solidarity, encourage and help poor households and families in difficult circumstances to rise up to have a better, more prosperous and happier life. The Prime Minister hopes that each family and people should strive to work and increase production to improve their material and spiritual life, maintain happiness; together take care of and raise their children to be obedient, good students, not violate the law, not get involved in social evils; do good deeds, follow the example of good people like the hero Mua A Pao, become good citizens, useful to society.
