Thuan Bac: Deploying local defense and military tasks in 2024

On November 24, the People's Committee of Thuan Bac district held a conference to summarize local military and defense tasks in 2023 and deploy directions and tasks in 2024.

In 2023, the Party committees, authorities, agencies, units and armed forces of Thuan Bac district have closely followed and seriously implemented the Party's directives and resolutions, the State's policies and laws, and the directives and orders of superiors on local military and defense tasks. Strictly maintained combat readiness; Training and exercises were carried out according to plan, directing and organizing the implementation of defense exercises for 4 communes: Bac Phong, Bac Son, Cong Hai, Phuoc Chien and 01 self-defense unit under Nam Thanh Trading, Service and Production Company; the potentials of the defense area were strengthened; the work of building a strong and comprehensive district armed force was increasingly improved, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation. Political tasks associated with socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security were closely combined; contributing to the successful implementation of national defense, associated with the increasingly solid people's security posture, creating favorable conditions for local economic and social development. The work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army reached 100% of the military force and ensured quality.

In 2024, the Party committees, authorities, agencies, units and armed forces of Thuan Bac district will continue to promote the sense of responsibility; closely follow and seriously implement the Party's directives and resolutions, the State's laws and policies, directives and orders of superiors on local military and defense tasks in the new situation. In particular, continue to build the local armed forces increasingly strong in politics, ideology and organization; focus on education to raise awareness and political mettle for officers and soldiers of the district's armed forces against all plots of hostile forces. Strive for the rate of party members in the militia to reach 25% or more, each commune to develop at least 1 to 2 party members in the militia. At the same time, do a good job of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2024.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Thuan Bac District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing local military and defense tasks in 2023.
