The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council works with the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Thuan Nam district

On February 28, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee led by Mr. Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Thuan Nam District People's Council on the results of activities in 2023 and the direction and tasks in 2024.

In 2023, the activities of the People's Councils at the district and commune levels achieved a number of important results in implementing the functions, tasks and powers prescribed by law and the key programs set out, especially successfully organizing regular meetings and thematic meetings to decide on many important contents on political tasks, government building, and socio-economic development in the area according to the resolutions of the District People's Council. The monthly citizen reception work of People's Council delegates was fully and properly carried out; the work of receiving, processing and transferring complaints to relevant agencies for timely consideration and settlement in accordance with regulations.

Speaking at the working session, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Thuan Nam district in the coming time to continue to innovate and improve the quality of the activities of the People's Council of the district and communes; review the resolutions, guidelines and policies of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council to implement, ensuring that all targets are met and exceeded; need to deploy plans to monitor each criterion of the People's Council and the District People's Committee in 2024; focus on improving the quality of the activities of the People's Council meetings at the district and commune levels; strengthen regular and thematic monitoring activities; organize well the meetings and sessions of the District People's Council; improve the quality of voter contact and thematic voter contact; strengthen the organization of explanation sessions of the Standing Committee of the People's Council; focus on resolving opinions, recommendations, handling petitions and complaints of the people.
