Promoting Russian-Vietnamese cooperation in science and technology

Four Vietnamese lecturers will participate in the "Summer University" (Obninsk Tech: train-the-trainers) program in the Russian Federation from June 23 to July 5 to improve their qualifications in the field of high technology.

In 2025, four Vietnamese lecturers will participate in the "Summer University" (Obninsk Tech: train-the-trainers) program in the Russian Federation from June 23 to July 5 to improve their qualifications in the field of high technology.

The Summer University Program is initiated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Course members will be trained under the “Obninsk Tech: train-the-trainers” Program at partner universities.

The program also has the support of the Russia-Vietnam Cooperation Development Promotion Fund “Tradition and Friendship” in connection with Vietnamese schools.

The program is aimed at familiarizing teachers from foreign universities with the technological and educational potential of partner universities and companies of the International Scientific and Educational Center for Atomic Technology and Related Technologies "Obninsk Tech", improving the qualifications of participants in the field of creating the latest types of high-tech products, as well as exchanging experience of representatives from scientific-educational schools from different countries.

The co-implementers of the program are leading Russian universities, namely: St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" (St. Petersburg), National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" (Obninsk), Rosatom Engineering Academy, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University named after Peter the Great.

The main objective of the program is to exchange experience between scientific and educational schools of different countries, as well as to deepen knowledge in the field of modern technology and technical education.

The program includes two majors: "Electronics and Automation," "Nuclear Technology."

Vietnamese lecturers participating in the program will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the fields of electronics, electrical engineering and nuclear technology, get acquainted with advanced Russian developments and innovations in these fields, master modern teaching methods, exchange experience with Russian colleagues and establish new professional relationships.

In addition to educational content, the project also has a cultural program, in particular, a visit to the Museum of the World's First Nuclear Power Plant (Obninsk), the Ethnographic Park and Museum "Ethnomir" (Obninsk), the Atomic Museum, the All-Russian Exhibition of National Achievements (VDNKh), a bus tour around Moscow, a boat trip along the Neva River, St. Petersburg, a visit to the Hermitage Museum.

As expected, the "train-the-trainers" programs will take place annually and will have a significant impact on the quality of training of engineering (technical) personnel in Vietnam, and will also contribute to further developing Vietnam-Russia cooperation in the fields of education and science./.
