Tri An Hydropower Plant increases flood discharge

(DN) - According to the announcement of Tri An Hydropower Company, at 2:00 p.m. on October 13, the plant increased the flood discharge through the spillway to ensure the safety of the reservoir.

Specifically, the discharge flow through the spillway is adjusted from 320m³/s to 480m³/s, bringing the total discharge flow downstream to fluctuate between 1,230-1,300m³/s.

The company said that depending on weather developments, the amount of water flowing into the lake and the water level downstream of the Dong Nai River at the Bien Hoa hydrological station, the flood discharge can be adjusted accordingly. Therefore, the company recommends that people in the downstream area proactively monitor information and take preventive measures to ensure the safety of life and property.
