(CT) - The Youth Union of An Thanh Commune, Can Tho City, has just coordinated with other units to organize the "Tree Planting Festival to prevent waves and protect dykes" in Tang Long Hamlet, with the theme "Green action for a sustainable future".

Through this, the youth union members and volunteers planted 700 trees in the dike and riverside areas of Tang Long hamlet. This activity contributes to minimizing landslides and reducing the harmful effects of climate change. Through the festival, the youth of the commune hope to raise community awareness in participating in environmental protection, creating a green - clean - beautiful living environment.

To welcome the congresses of the Youth Union at all levels, from the beginning of August 2025 until now, the youth of An Thanh commune has organized two peak campaigns of "Green Sunday" with environmental protection activities; coordinated with the Women's Union of the commune to deploy the model of "Loving Breakfast", mobilizing people to contribute necessities to distribute free meals to patients in difficult circumstances at Cu Lao Dung Regional General Hospital (every Tuesday and Friday morning)... At the same time, organized many activities to educate historical traditions for the younger generation.
