Towards the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress of Khanh Hoa province, period 2025 - 2030: Pioneering innovation, improving teaching quality

With his love for the profession and the spirit of innovation and creativity in management and teaching, over the years, Mr. Vo Duc Cao Cuong - Principal of Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Van Ninh commune) has made many contributions to improving the quality of teaching, making the school one of the quality high schools in the province.

Focus on building a learning environment

On the first morning of the week, the yard of Huynh Thuc Khang High School was bustling with the laughter of each group of students. Arriving early, Mr. Vo Duc Cao Cuong walked around the yard, carefully checking the classes, reminding some students to tidy up their uniforms, teachers paying attention to the sound system and some important content for the flag-raising ceremony. The school bell rang, students from each class quickly lined up, arranged their ranks, ready to start a new school week. For Mr. Cuong, a working day always begins with observation, maintaining order and creating connections between students, teachers and the learning environment like that!

Having been attached to this coastal school for nearly 30 years, through various positions, from teacher to Vice Principal in charge of professional work (since 2009) and Principal (since 2020), Mr. Cuong has always determined that implementing the emulation movement is a key, regular task, closely linked to implementing the school's political tasks. Under his leadership, the movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning" has been widely and effectively deployed with the motto "4 goods" (good educational environment, good management, good teaching, good learning). Every year, the school regularly maintains dialogue forums between leaders, teachers, students and parents to listen, share, and promptly resolve arising issues, creating a friendly, close and open atmosphere.

One of Mr. Cuong's outstanding achievements is the topic "Promoting the socialization of education , contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education at Huynh Thuc Khang High School", which has been recognized and widely applied throughout the province. Implementing this topic, he has mobilized more than 1 billion VND from parents, former students and benefactors to invest in facilities and teaching equipment such as: Foreign language lab, sound system, television, wifi for the whole school, roof in the school yard area... to help the school improve the quality of teaching. Towards the 50th anniversary of the school's founding (1976 - 2026), in 2023, he mobilized generations of administrators, teachers and former students to support more than 665 million VND to build the Monument of patriotic scholar Huynh Thuc Khang right on the school campus.

Arouse the spirit of collective dedication

Thanks to the leadership of Mr. Cuong, in recent years, the quality of key education and comprehensive education at Huynh Thuc Khang High School has had remarkable changes. In the past 5 years, the school has won 81 prizes in provincial-level excellent student competitions; 1 student won third prize at the national level in Informatics; 1 student was the valedictorian of the province's high school graduation; the high school graduation rate is from 99.8 to 100%; the university admission rate is over 90%. For many consecutive years, the school has been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as an Excellent Labor Collective. In the 2021-2022 school year, the school led the province's high schools and was awarded an emulation flag by the Prime Minister ; and was recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as having achieved national standards level 1; The Director of the Department of Education and Training recognized the school's level 2 educational quality accreditation. In recent years, the school's work of developing party members among students has also improved, with 12 students honored to join the Party.

According to Mr. Cuong, facing the requirement of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training and implementing Resolution No. 71 of the Politburo on breakthrough in education and training development, in the coming time, the school will continue to innovate management work. Instead of requesting and imposing orders for teachers to participate in activities, the principal focuses on listening to the sharing, aspirations, orientations, and encouraging teachers to boldly try and break through. In addition, setting specific competition goals and targets, practical content, implementing movements in each period and topic to create a real competition environment. The school also focuses on building a united bloc, promoting the role of professional group leaders, helping teachers change from the mindset of "must do" to "want to do, want to contribute", promoting enthusiasm and creativity.

Over the years, Mr. Vo Duc Cao Cuong has received many awards from all levels such as: the President awarded the title of Excellent Teacher; 1 time received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister, 2 times received a certificate of merit from the Provincial Party Committee, 2 times received a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, 5 times received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for outstanding achievements in education and training, patriotic emulation movements and 14 times achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level...
