Recently, in Lao Cai city, many football clubs and classes have opened, attracting many students and teenagers to participate.

This summer, every day at 7 o'clock, Lam Quang Huy, 14 years old, from Kim Tan ward, and his friends go to the artificial soccer field in Duyen Hai ward to practice. Huy said: I really like playing soccer because it brings me a lot of joy. Playing soccer also helps me to exercise and refresh my spirit.

Many football clubs and classes have been opened to attract young people and children in the city to participate. For example, the HQ Lao Cai Community Football Club was established in 2021. Up to now, the club has 200 students from 7 to 14 years old. During the summer, the club organizes regular activities every day of the week. Here, the club is fully equipped with uniforms and training tools, and gathers experienced teachers to participate in training. In 2 months, the children will learn some basic knowledge about football such as ball feel, passing techniques, receiving the ball, dribbling, advanced shooting, throw-ins, heading, individual defense, group defense, attack, team coordination... After technical and physical exercises, the coach will organize teams to practice against each other.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Chairman of the Football Club HQ Lao Cai community said: The club's operating principle is "Nurturing passion, developing talent". All of you who come to the club will undergo tests to divide the status, physical condition, basic football skills, from which the club will give exercises suitable for each age group. In particular, every month, we organize internal tournaments for young players to rub, exchange and experience the spirit of sports competition.

Recently, the first Lao Cai Province U9, U11, U13 Football Tournament - 2024 organized by the DTH KIDS Community Football Center in Lao Cai city attracted hundreds of young athletes from football clubs in the city. Mr. Dang Chung Hieu, Head of the DTH KIDS Community Football Center, said: As the host of the first Lao Cai Province U9, U11, U13 Football Tournament - 2024, the center identified this as an opportunity for children to exchange, learn, demonstrate their talents, passion for football and develop their competition skills...

Localities and clubs in Lao Cai city regularly organize football tournaments for teenagers and children.

By participating in football clubs and football training classes, children not only have positive changes in their physique, physical condition, and football playing techniques, but also practice life skills, improve discipline, solidarity, and teamwork. Nguyen Xuan Dat, an 8th grade student at Ngo Van So Secondary School (Lao Cai Ward), confided: I am participating in the Ngo Van So Secondary School Football Club. Every year, we participate in the Lao Cai Ward Youth Football Tournament. This is an opportunity for us to practice our competitive sportsmanship and interact with friends who share the same passion for football.

Football clubs for youth and children in the city are an environment that helps children practice and improve their health, so that they can have a useful summer.
