Continue the peak of the fight to prevent and repel commercial fraud and counterfeit goods

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued an official dispatch requesting member agencies of the City's Steering Committee 389, according to their functions and tasks, to focus on seriously, synchronously, drastically and effectively implementing tasks and solutions according to directive documents at all levels.

At the same time, strengthen coordination between all levels and sectors, promote the combined strength of agencies, organizations, consumers and the media to fight and strongly condemn the production and trade of counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights; strictly handle cases of production and trade of counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights according to the law.

Organizations and individuals in production and business must invest in applying science and technology to produce goods to ensure quality, save costs, and reduce product prices; strictly implement regulations on product quality declaration, labeling of goods, ensuring product quality is consistent with quality declaration, be responsible to consumers and before the law for products and goods produced; and closely coordinate with competent authorities in combating counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade - Standing Agency of the City Steering Committee 389 to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to develop and implement a plan to inspect counterfeit goods and goods that infringe intellectual property rights.

The Department of Health shall strengthen the management and supervision of establishments distributing and retailing pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, foods, and functional foods; especially establishments distributing and retailing disease prevention and treatment drugs, including hospitals; reorganize the distribution system of disease prevention and treatment drugs in the city; coordinate with relevant sectors and forces to effectively inspect and prevent the circulation of fake and poor-quality drugs on the market.
