Continue searching for the remains of Vietnamese martyrs who died in Cambodia

From 2000 to present, Team K92 and Team K93 (An Giang Provincial Military Command) have searched for and collected the remains of 4,286 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia and buried them at martyr cemeteries in the province.

From October 6 to 10, the An Giang Provincial Task Force coordinated to sign a cooperation agreement on searching, collecting, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia, phase 25 (dry season 2025-2026) with the Task Force of Koh Kong, Preah Sihanouk, Kampong Speu, Ta Keo, Kampot, and Kep provinces, of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

At the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho expressed his sincere gratitude for the noble sentiments and valuable assistance of the authorities, armed forces and people of the provinces in collecting, providing information, guiding, protecting and helping Team K92 and Team K93 search and collect martyrs' remains.

Thereby, meeting the expectations of martyrs' relatives and contributing to fulfilling the responsibilities of the State, army and people of Vietnam towards martyrs who sacrificed for international duties.

The leaders of the People's Committee of An Giang province hope that the leaders, authorities, specialized committees and people of the provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia will continue to coordinate, support and create favorable conditions to help Team K92 and Team K93 continue their mission of searching for and collecting the remains of martyrs who died in the localities to achieve the best results.

Representatives of the Provincial Steering Committees of Koh Kong, Preah Sihanouk, Kampong Speu, Ta Keo, Kampot and Kep wish to support and continue to cooperate in research, searching and providing information through local authorities as well as local people to complete the tasks set by both sides.

The Provincial Steering Committees of Koh Kong, Preah Sihanouk, Kampong Speu, Ta Keo, Kampot and Kep would like to thank the Government , Party and State leaders, armed forces and people of Vietnam who volunteered and sacrificed their blood to help Cambodia overthrow the genocidal regime, liberate the nation, and rebuild Cambodia to this day.

At the same time, we pledge to implement the signed documents in the spirit of solidarity, cooperation, good relations and mutual respect according to the terms of the Agreement. Strengthen cooperation, consolidate solidarity and friendship, and become increasingly closer and more durable in all circumstances...

Since implementing the Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia signed on August 28, 2000 in Phnom Penh - Cambodia, up to now, Team K92 and Team K93 have searched for and collected 4,286 martyrs' remains in 6 provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
