Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs Prepares for the 4th Congress in December 2025

Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, said: The 4th Congress of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs is expected to be held in early December 2025.

During the third term (2020-2025), the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has connected information, veterans have added information to the graves of unidentified martyrs using empirical methods. Thereby, over the past 5 years, 462 martyrs have had their information corrected.

In addition, the Association has actively supported the relocation of martyrs' remains to their homeland; linking the development of Association organizations at all levels with gratitude work, especially in the Central region.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2; the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs (September 17, 2010 - September 17, 2025), the Association received and coordinated with Texas Tech University, USA and agencies and units to present 21 sets of documents to the revolutionary base of Pho Binh Restaurant, Special Forces Regiment 95A, Special Forces Regiment Rung Sac, Battalion 445.

The Association received 65 files to identify the remains of martyrs, sent 17 cases for DNA testing, received 1 case with correct DNA testing and awarded certificates to the martyrs' relatives at the 15th Anniversary of the Association's founding. Supported the relocation of the remains of martyrs to their hometowns in 5 cases.

Also on this occasion, the Association donated a house of gratitude in Nghe An province, coordinated with organizations and units to donate thousands of gifts and cash to relatives of martyrs and heroic Vietnamese mothers in Quang Tri, Nghe An, Hanoi , Cao Bang...

Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung said: At the end of June 2025, the Association launched the program "Gratitude to Martyrs 2025" through account 2707 of the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB Bank), which has so far raised more than 2.2 billion VND; of which the support from Dong Nai veterans alone has reached more than 432 million VND. This result was achieved because the local Association leaders in Dong Nai closely followed the movement and provided specific instructions for the branches and members to support.

In the last months of 2025, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs will continue to carry out activities to pay tribute to martyrs, focusing on the task of correcting information on martyrs' tombstones, supporting the movement of martyrs' remains back to their homeland, visiting and giving gifts to martyrs' families in difficult circumstances, and directing the completion of the Association's organization and local Associations after the merger.

The Association also focused on implementing the plan to organize the 4th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs for the 2025-2030 term; the Congress is expected to take place in early December 2025; directing the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Association in Quang Ninh to hold the 1st Congress on October 13, 2025; Promoting the procedures for mobilizing the establishment of the Association in Quang Tri; Guiding and directing the congresses of local Associations, focusing on personnel...
