Body of 2-year-old child found after nearly 1 month missing

On the afternoon of July 29, people in Phi Nom village, Hiep Thanh commune (Lam Dong province) discovered the body of a 2-year-old girl who had been missing for nearly a month.

The body of TPNH (2 years old) was discovered by locals near the edge of a forest, about 1.5km from a relative's house.

The area where the child went missing nearly a month ago

Initial information, child H. is the daughter of Ms. TV (24 years old). Because Ms. V. and her husband work far away, they sent child H. to her grandmother in Phi Nom village, Hiep Thanh commune to take care of.

On the morning of July 5, while baby H. was playing at home, her grandmother went out to the garden to work. At 11 o'clock that same day, H.'s grandmother went into the house and did not see her granddaughter, so she shouted and searched for her.

After receiving the news, Hiep Thanh commune authorities mobilized about 100 people including police, militia, youth union, and local people to search for the child.

Along with searching gardens, ponds, rivers, streams, and residential areas, the authorities also extracted security camera images around the area to find the girl's whereabouts but to no avail.

The case is currently being investigated and clarified.
