"Liberating" river and floating land: Strong policies, new ways of doing things

Hanoi is one of the localities with a large area of riverside alluvial land with more than 36,200 hectares; of which the Red River alluvial land accounts for the majority. This is a space with rich potential for high-quality agricultural development, eco-tourism, experiential education... However, due to many reasons, the riverside alluvial land of Hanoi has not developed to its full potential.
New regulations on the use and exploitation of agricultural land in river banks and floating beaches in the 2024 Capital Law and Resolution No. 21/2025/NQ-HDND dated July 9, 2025 of the City People's Council are expected to remove difficulties for this land. Amendments to the Law on Intellectual Property:
Turning intellectual property into a new engine for innovation

After nearly two decades of implementation, the Intellectual Property Law has contributed to protecting and encouraging innovation. However, in the context of rapid technological development and deep international integration, the Law has revealed many limitations, causing intellectual property to not truly become an asset with commercial value. The 2025 amendment is expected to be a turning point, turning intellectual property rights into assets that can be traded, mortgaged, and mobilized capital, creating a strong push for innovation and enhancing national competitiveness.
Eliminate "toad" and "temporary" markets: Determined to solve difficult problems

The elimination of "toad" and "temporary" markets is no longer a new story, but this is still a difficult problem to solve in a densely populated city like Hanoi . However, this painful problem is being vigorously implemented by the city government with the hope of building a more civilized, modern, orderly and clean capital every day.
Transferring transportation accounts: Still not over the issue

There are only 10 days left until the deadline for vehicle owners to convert their electronic toll collection accounts to traffic accounts connected to cashless payment methods. However, up to this point, only about 50% of vehicles have converted. The biggest challenge still lies in connecting traffic accounts with payment methods of about 130,000 transport enterprises.
