Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province Le Duc Tien read the eulogy, commemorating the heroic martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. During the years of fighting for national independence, Quang Tri was the fiercest front line. Every inch of land, bridge, and river was soaked with the blood and bones of many sons of the Fatherland. In particular, the campaign to fight and protect Quang Tri town and Quang Tri Citadel in the summer of 1972 was recorded in the national history as an immortal symbol of Vietnamese revolutionary heroism.
