Hai Duong Province Traffic Police on the move at the end of the year

According to data from the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security , on January 27 (the second day of the Lunar New Year holiday), there were 53 accidents nationwide, killing 25 people and injuring 47. Compared to the same period in 2024, there were 30 fewer accidents, 18 fewer deaths, and 20 fewer injuries.

Accordingly, the authorities handled 7,855 violations; fined 23 billion 450 million VND; temporarily detained 74 cars, 2,618 motorbikes, 88 other vehicles; revoked 344 driving licenses of all types, deducted driving license points in 818 cases; of which 2,106 cases were handled for alcohol concentration violations; 1,808 cases for speed violations; 16 cases for overloading; 4 cases for exceeding the size limit; 58 cases for carrying more people than the prescribed number; 9 cases for drug violations.

In addition, the authorities discovered and handled 7 violations on waterways and 2 violations on railways.

The National Traffic Safety Committee hotline on the second day of the holiday received 3 calls and messages from people reporting on the transport of passengers exceeding the prescribed number. The calls were forwarded to the authorities for verification and timely handling.
