During this period, the General Department of Technology sent 10 highly qualified doctors and pharmacists with rich practical experience and modern medical equipment to conduct medical examinations, health consultations, and provide free medicine to 600 people from policy families, people with revolutionary contributions, and poor households in Mang Yang district. At the same time, 40 gifts including essential necessities were presented to support people in difficult circumstances. The total value of the medical examinations and gift giving was more than 110 million VND.

Ms. Veh, a Ba Na ethnic, in De Ktu village, Kon Dong town, was excited to receive health check-up and consultation from doctors of the General Department of Techniques. She has grade 1 fatty liver and was instructed by doctors on diet and medication to treat the disease. “I am only in my 30s, I work in the fields every day, I rarely go for health check-ups so I did not know that my liver was fatty. Thanks to the military doctors of the General Department of Techniques, I learned about the disease and the treatment method. I thank the military doctors very much,” Ms. Veh said.

After being examined and given free medicine by doctors from the General Department of Techniques, Mr. Pham Van Hieu, 68 years old, a veteran in group 1, Kon Dong town, emotionally said: “I was infected with Agent Orange and have many dangerous diseases. Today, with the care of my comrades who examined me and gave me free medicine, I feel very shared and encouraged. Thank you, leaders of the General Department of Techniques, thank you, comrades.”

Lieutenant General Tran Duy Hung visited the people to inquire about their health, share their difficulties and encourage them. He hoped that they would maintain their health, actively work and produce, have absolute trust in the leadership of the Party, the State and the local government; build a great national unity bloc, and not listen to bad people's enticements, bribes and incitement to violate the law.

According to the Political Commissar of the General Department of Techniques, the General Department has over 70 grassroots units stationed mainly in remote areas in 22 provinces and cities across the country. From 2015 to now, units in the General Department of Techniques have organized 30 medical examinations, health consultations, and free medicine provision for tens of thousands of people with a total amount of billions of VND. In addition, the General Department of Techniques has also invested in upgrading medical stations, medical equipment and instruments for localities, worth hundreds of millions of VND; mobilized more than 5,000 units of blood to treat and save people; visited and gave gifts to nearly 6,000 policy households, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and families in difficult circumstances, worth more than 20 billion VND...
