Accordingly, the Institute has advised, proposed, chaired and participated in many large-scale, complex and highly interdisciplinary science and technology tasks, both promptly meeting the immediate needs of the Army and creating a premise and solid foundation for the development of cutting-edge technology directions, typically projects on missile industry development; combat against unmanned aerial vehicles; improving and modernizing some technical equipment... along with projects and programs KC.BM, KC.AT, KC.I, KC.T, KC.KT; national products BR-12, TL-01; building an operational system, calculating, and displaying sea and island combat plans on digital nautical charts and 3D digital sand tables; Project XCB-01...

100% of the Institute's topics and tasks have practical applications; the rate of products being tested and applied at the unit is increasing; the number of topics behind schedule is decreasing sharply.

Along with that, the Institute has done a good job of research, helping the military and service branches exploit and master the newly equipped modern, high-tech weapons and technical equipment systems; research, improve, modernize, repair, and extend the limits of existing weapons and technical equipment systems; research and manufacture many products directly serving the training, exercises, sports, competitions of the entire army and major activities of the Party and State; making many practical contributions to the digital transformation process in the Ministry of National Defense and agencies and units outside the Army...

In addition to the above outstanding scientific research results, the Military Science and Technology Institute is also one of the leading units in the entire army in terms of achievements in participating in State and Army awards.

Regarding training tasks, in recent years, the Institute has achieved many outstanding results in doctoral training with 15 majors and specialties; organizing training and fostering technical expertise for the entire army's technical staff; fostering foreign languages ​​to serve the creation of postgraduate training resources and preparing staff to participate in key programs and projects...

Colonel Duong Nhat Dan: The proud achievements in carrying out scientific research and training tasks in recent times are the sum of many factors, in which the particularly important factor, creating a solid foundation for the unit's development, is doing a good job of Party building.

The Party Committee and the Institute's leadership over the years have always attached importance to and done well the work of building a clean and strong Party organization, a strong and comprehensive agency and unit. In particular, in recent years, the Party Committee and the Institute's Board of Directors have focused on leading and directing the implementation of many drastic policies and solutions to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations, while creating positive and solid changes in all aspects of work, specifically:

Firstly, focus on studying and thoroughly grasping the resolutions, directives and plans of the superiors, focusing on the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, the Resolution of the 8th Central Committee (13th tenure) on the Strategy for National Defense in the new situation, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution No. 3488-NQ/QUTW of the Central Military Commission on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation; at the same time, correctly and accurately identify important goals and solutions, especially breakthroughs to promptly and effectively resolve weaknesses in each aspect of work and in each agency and unit.

Second, innovate the content, form, and measures of Party and political work, focusing on doing well the work of political and ideological education; improve the quality of resolutions of Party committees, Party cells, Party organizations and the capacity and effectiveness of direction and administration of Party committees and commanders at all levels; the exemplary role of cadres and Party members, first of all, the team of leading and key cadres at all levels. Strengthen inspection and supervision work, promptly detect and strictly handle cases of cadres and Party members violating discipline.

Third, actively and proactively advise and propose to the Central Military Commission, the Minister of National Defense and the Chief of the General Staff on the new organizational model and staffing of the Institute to ensure it is streamlined, strong, effective and efficient. Accordingly, in June 2025, the Institute completed the arrangement and reorganization of agencies and units according to the Decision of the Minister of National Defense and the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. This is an important basis for the Institute to continue to stabilize and develop.

Fourth, resolutely maintain strict order and discipline throughout the Institute, ensuring absolute safety for the unit in all aspects. Focus on directing the resolution of limitations, creating clear and steady changes in the aspects of logistics, technology, finance, information, and magazines, contributing to building a comprehensively strong agency and unit that is "Exemplary and typical".

To successfully complete the above-mentioned goals and orientations as well as the major orientations identified by the Resolution of the 6th Party Congress of the Institute, each Party committee, Party organization at all levels and all cadres and Party members in the entire Party Committee of the Military Science and Technology Institute need to uphold the spirit of solidarity, proactively overcome difficulties, promote the combined strength, strongly and comprehensively innovate thinking and working methods...
