New generation industrial space
After the merger, Ho Chi Minh City now has more than 90 industrial parks, export processing zones, high-tech zones and industrial clusters, with a total area of about 28,500 hectares, accounting for nearly 32% of the country's industrial land fund. This is a favorable foundation for the formation of new generation industrial parks - ecological, smart, low-carbon, contributing to promoting sustainable development.

In the old Binh Duong area - the "industrial core" of Ho Chi Minh City, many businesses are pioneering in converting production models towards green and automation.
Pioneering enterprise in building green factories
Many factories in VSIP Industrial Park have focused on environmental factors by investing in standard wastewater treatment systems, planting trees and using environmentally friendly materials. These models contribute to creating green working spaces, improving production efficiency and environmental awareness.

Mr. Lu Thanh Cong - Director of Jakop Saigon Company, said that the enterprise has invested in an automated production line to save energy, reduce emissions and improve product quality, contributing to building a green and sustainable production model.
Notably, the world's first carbon-neutral factory of the LEGO Group is operating in VSIP 3 industrial park, Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Jesper Hassellund Mikkelsen - General Director of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam shared: "Our factory is operated entirely on renewable energy, optimizing energy consumption, water and waste management. No waste is landfilled, and the solar power used is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of nearly 1,300 Vietnamese households."

Vietnamese businesses transform for sustainable development
According to Dr. Pham Thi Hong Phuong - Executive Director of Ecotech Village - Vietnam National Techfest, Vietnamese enterprises are gradually becoming more aware of ESG criteria (Environment - Society - Governance). "Many enterprises have understood that sustainable development is not a distant thing, but starts with reducing waste, optimizing production and human resource management" - Ms. Phuong commented.
In fact, more and more businesses have begun to integrate green elements into their business strategies, from using renewable energy, improving production processes to applying international quality management standards. Some industries such as textiles, food processing or supporting industries are also testing circular models, reducing dependence on raw materials and moving towards sustainable exports.

Vietnamese enterprises increasingly pay attention to ESG factors in their development strategies, especially textile and food processing enterprises.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Tan - Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association, emphasized: "Enterprises must go along with the national strategy, take sustainable development thinking as the foundation and proactively adopt new technology standards."
Towards the region's green industrial capital
From automation to circular economy, from green technology to sustainable governance, Ho Chi Minh City’s industrial development is entering a phase of reshaping – not just growth, but creating a future in harmony with nature.

Ho Chi Minh City aims to become the green industrial capital of Vietnam and the region, with the foundation of digital transformation and green transformation.
With a large industrial land fund, a clear green transformation policy and a pioneering team of businesses, Ho Chi Minh City is moving closer to its goal of becoming the green industrial capital of Vietnam and the region.
