Dak Lak women on the journey to beautify their homeland

Not only creating a vibrant atmosphere towards major holidays, the emulation campaign "115 projects/tasks - For a green, clean, beautiful Dak Lak" (Emulation Campaign) launched by the Provincial Women's Union also became a meaningful meeting place for women across the province to join hands in spreading the green message, contributing to building a rich, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

Over the past month, the “Green Houses” located at the Hall of Residential Group 13, Ea Tu Market and N2 Street in Buon Ju (Tan An Ward) have become familiar destinations, evoking the green living awareness in every citizen. Each plastic bottle, beer can, scrap of paper, seemingly inanimate things, now contributes to lighting up faith and sharing love. Because from those recycled materials, a charity fund was formed to help women and children in difficult circumstances, spreading the message “giving is forever”.

Sharing about the significance of the project, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tan An Ward said: "The Green House is a pilot model deployed by the Women's Union of Tan An Ward in response to the emulation movement; at the same time connecting environmental protection actions and compassion for the community. From the achieved results, the association will continue to promote and mobilize to replicate the model throughout the ward, creating a network of "Green Houses" covering all villages, hamlets, and residential groups."

Responding to the emulation movement, in August 2025, the Women's Union of Lien Son Lak commune deployed the project "Route of hanging Party flags and national flags". The project was carried out on National Highway 27, from Ma village to village 4, with nearly 70 flagpoles, funded by Ma village people and women's union members. Along with hanging flags, women's union members and villagers also cleared bushes, cleaned the environment on both sides of the road, creating a green - clean - beautiful landscape, brightening the joyful and solemn atmosphere during major holidays.

Mr. Y Lam Enuol (Buon Ma) shared: "The red flags with yellow stars fluttering in the sky along the road not only beautify the countryside but also light up national pride, solidarity and a sense of responsibility to build a rich and beautiful homeland together."

The emulation campaign is an opportunity to arouse the sense of responsibility, creativity and action of women in the whole province in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. From small projects and specific actions, the association hopes that the movement will continue to spread strongly, becoming a green, civilized and sustainable lifestyle in the community.

The family of Ms. Duong Thi Sen, Phu Thanh village (Phu Hoa 2 commune) is a household in particularly difficult circumstances, living in a small, simple house with poor living conditions. Previously, the whole family had to use a makeshift toilet that was not safe. Knowing that situation, the Women's Union of Phu Hoa 2 commune gave 10 million VND to support Ms. Sen's family to build a standard toilet. "I am truly grateful for the association's concern. Having a solid, clean toilet like this, my family feels much more secure. This is a great gift, giving us more motivation to try to improve our lives," Ms. Sen was moved.

Ms. Le Thi Kim Chung, President of the Women's Union of Phu Hoa 2 commune, said: "Supporting the construction of a sanitation facility for Ms. Sen's family is one of the specific and practical activities of the association in response to the emulation campaign. We hope that through each project, we will spread the spirit of responsibility, awareness of environmental protection and the spirit of mutual love in the community."

The emulation campaign "115 projects/tasks - For a green - clean - beautiful Dak Lak " was launched by the Provincial Women's Union from January to the end of November 2025 to achieve practical achievements to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8), the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union, Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20) and major holidays of the country and the province. Immediately after launching, the movement quickly spread widely to each union base, attracting more than 272,000 cadres, members, and women to participate in cleaning the environment, taking care of and planting flowers and trees on 272 roads, residential areas, and community cultural houses.

The Provincial Women's Union also organized a communication conference and training to improve women's capacity on disaster risk prevention, climate change response and environmental protection at 8 grassroots units, helping women equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills to proactively adapt to climate change, minimize risks and spread the spirit of green living in the community.

Cu Bao Ward Women's Union launched the model "Friendly trash cans, practicing civilized lifestyle".

Up to now, the whole province has registered 538 projects and works; of which more than 250 have been completed, with a total value of nearly 2 billion VND. Many creative projects and works have been replicated, typically the movement "3,000 models of composting waste into organic fertilizer" launched by the Women's Union of Cu M'gar district (old), to encourage waste classification at source, utilizing organic waste as fertilizer for plants, contributing to reducing environmental pollution. Or the projects of colorful flower roads; the model "National Flag Road"; "Green - Clean - Beautiful Self-Managed Women's Road"; repairing and building residential roads; embellishing and embellishing cultural relics/community houses... have been effectively implemented by local women, contributing to changing the face of rural and urban areas.
