In Group F, Tran Thanh Luc, the runner-up of the 2024 World Cup, also had a smooth start when he defeated Jose Miguel Soares (Portugal) with a score of 40-17. This victory gives Thanh Luc many opportunities to continue. He will meet Pedro Gonzalez (Ecuador) in the remaining match of the group stage.

In Group J, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu lost to Carlos Anguita (Spain) with a score of 38-40. With this result, Thanh Tu must win against Heo Jung-han (Korea) to have a chance to continue.

The remaining Vietnamese player participating in the world tournament is Chiem Hong Thai. He will play two matches against Roland Forthomme (Belgium) and Bart Ceulemans (Belgium) on October 15.
