HCMC: Non-public schools offer highest Tet bonus of 150 million VND/person

On January 30, information from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City said that educational institutions in Ho Chi Minh City have paid support money for the Lunar New Year 2024 for staff, teachers, and workers. This year, the lowest bonus is 3 million VND/person and the highest is 150 million VND/person.

Specifically, the unit with a record Tet bonus of 150 million VND/person is Tan Phu Primary, Secondary and High School (Tan Phu District) - a non-public unit of IGC Education Group.

Each cadre, teacher and employee of the school receives 1 tael of gold for every 5 years of service to the unit. On average, the Tet bonus for cadres, teachers and employees of the school is more than 28 million VND/person.

On the contrary, due to the impact of the difficult economic situation, this year many non-public preschools have a modest Tet support level of just over 3 million VND/person.

In addition, for the 2024 Lunar New Year, the city budget will also support each cadre, civil servant, public employee, and employee working at administrative agencies and public service units under the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City with 1.8 million VND/person.

Along with that, cadres and workers in difficult circumstances who cannot return home to celebrate Tet will be supported by the City Education Trade Union with a gift worth 200,000 VND and 500,000 VND in cash so that teachers can have more conditions to enjoy the spring and celebrate Tet.
