Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of An Giang Department of Health Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized that An Giang was chosen as the province to implement the project to support the implementation of effective and sustainable interventions to prevent and combat child drowning. Through the implementation of programs to help raise awareness in the community, swimming activities and safe swimming lessons for children aged 6-15, the number of children who know how to swim is increasing. Thereby, it is recommended that localities urgently implement, speed up the progress, and be determined to complete the project by the end of December 2025.
