Binh Son opens 14 safe swimming classes

Implementing the Project "Implementing effective and sustainable interventions to prevent child drowning in Binh Son commune, An Giang province", on October 5, the Department of Culture and Society of Binh Son commune organized the opening of 14 safe swimming classes to prevent drowning for 280 children aged 6-15 in the commune.

Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Binh Son Commune, Bui Thanh Tien, said: The project "Implementing effective and sustainable interventions to prevent child drowning in Binh Son Commune, An Giang Province" is sponsored by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (USA). The implementation period is from October to December 2025. In Binh Son Commune, 14 classes with 280 students are organized at 4 primary and secondary schools in the commune.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, swimming instructors instructed children on warm-up exercises before swimming; safe swimming skills; and how to handle dangerous situations underwater. This helped children improve their health, prevent drowning accidents, and ensure their safety.
