Deploying scientific topics to serve tourism development in Binh Thuan

With the mission of the industry, the Department of Science and Technology has also deployed many topics related to this resolution to contribute to the development of Binh Thuan tourism...

In carrying out the task of science and technology, in the period of 2022 - 2023, the provincial functional departments have been organizing and implementing 3 topics related to local tourism. Specifically, the topics are: "Research on environmental capacity assessment and propose solutions for environmental management and protection in Hon Cau Marine Reserve", "Research on collection, conservation and promotion of Ariya values of Cham people in Binh Thuan province", "Research on building, managing and developing tourism brand of Binh Thuan province".

According to the Department of Science and Technology, the project: "Research on environmental carrying capacity assessment and propose solutions for environmental management and protection in the Hon Cau Marine Reserve" has initially assessed the environmental carrying capacity as well as proposed solutions for environmental management and protection, biodiversity protection for tourism development. It is known that the project's products are reports on the results: Emissions, wastewater, solid waste; Current status of biodiversity and resources; Environmental carrying capacity... from which solutions for environmental protection and biodiversity protection in the Hon Cau Marine Reserve are proposed. This project has been accepted and is moving towards handing over to relevant localities, agencies and units in the province for quick implementation and application... The project "Research on building, managing and developing tourism brands in Binh Thuan province" will be implemented from December 2022 to the end of November 2023. The goal is to build, manage and develop Binh Thuan tourism brand to serve the sustainable development of the "smokeless industry". The main products of this topic include: Brand positioning; A set of solutions for building, managing and developing Binh Thuan tourism brand to ensure scientific and high feasibility; Binh Thuan province tourism brand identity; Destination tourism brand identity...

Meanwhile, the topic "Research on collection, preservation and promotion of Ariya values of the Cham people in Binh Thuan province" was carried out with the goal of collecting, cataloguing and classifying Ariya according to the genres of poetry, epics, family songs, etc. At the same time, proposing feasible conservation solutions to promptly prevent the situation and risk of losing the genre of "poetry, epics, epics, family songs" and contribute to serving tourism. Up to now, the topic has been accepted and prepared to be handed over to localities, agencies and units in the province to implement and put into practical application.

In addition to the topics that have been and are being implemented, the functional department is currently planning to continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve the selection results of a number of other topics to be implemented in the coming time. These include the topic "Research on influencing factors and propose solutions to preserve, embellish and promote Bau Trang landscape, contributing to sustainable tourism development" and the topic "Research on causes of landslides and propose solutions to protect the banks of Bau Trang lake area". Thereby, the study will determine the causes of landslides as well as propose appropriate protection solutions, aiming to preserve, embellish and promote Bau Trang landscape, contributing to sustainable tourism development...

As for the topic "Research and development of a night-time economic development model suitable for the advantages and practical conditions of Binh Thuan province", the product is oriented to be a night-time economic development model suitable for the advantages and practical conditions of the province. It is expected to include a model, a list of products, types of activities, specific entertainment and recreation services and a number of tours - routes, tourist areas - destinations that can be exploited, providing night tourism products... In addition, the industry is also considering implementing the topic "Evaluating the unique values of biodiversity and natural conditions in the Bung Thi Hot Spring area, Binh Thuan province to serve the goal of conservation and development of ecotourism". This topic is oriented towards the general goal of researching, analyzing, and evaluating the unique values of biodiversity and natural conditions (geology, landscape) to propose a plan for ecotourism development combined with conservation of natural resources in the Bung Thi Hot Spring area.

Regarding this work, every year the Department of Science and Technology will advise the Provincial People's Committee to hand over tasks related to tourism development that have been accepted to localities, agencies and units to put into practice. Along with that, it will also propose and advise on ordering the implementation of scientific and technological tasks to contribute to the development of Binh Thuan tourism in the new period...
