“Let me hug you, Mom!” published by Dong Tay Culture Company Limited in association with Literature Publishing House is the first book that author Tran Thuy Hang cherished and dedicated to her late mother, sharing stories full of inspiration and gratitude, along with regrets for not having had time to express them to her mother.

The book consists of 25 short stories conveying profound thoughts and experiences about maternal love, family affection, gratitude for life and the limitedness of time. The work is also a sweet comfort to anyone who is experiencing pain, loss and hurt, along with the sympathy from the bottom of the author's heart - a person who has gone through many broken pieces and now has found peace and maturity.

Author Tran Thuy Hang confided: “The book is like a million hugs I want to send to my mother instead of the part she didn’t have time to hug me in the old years. So that I can enjoy and remember all the flavors of love through long, deep and vivid hugs. So that I can be hugged tightly by my mother, and hear her gentle, soft voice in my ear again, “I miss you so much!”. I want to continue my mother’s unfinished story and can only use my own full, fulfilling life to repay her for raising me.”
The author believes that life has never been easy, but choosing to suffer or be optimistic is a decision for each person. The mother character in Thuy Hang's story chose "a day of happiness is a day of profit", this also became a life perspective and a strong source of inspiration that urged the female author to publish the book.

“Let me hug you, Mom!” is also expected to be a medicine for the heart, helping to inspire healing all wounds or narrowing the gap between family members, especially the relationship between mothers and daughters.
Sharing about the book, poet Tran Thi To Nga expressed her emotions and sympathy for the stories written about motherly love: “The simple things that are very normal, when lost, we realize they are “pearls”. Cherish what you have and what you have. There are things you wish for, but in fact they are right next to you, existing in your life without you knowing it.”
Singer and musician Dinh Manh Ninh, a close friend of the author, said that the book touched his heart because he also had a mother like that - someone who always accompanied and tolerated him. The male singer also revealed that the story and idea of "Let me hug you, Mom!" was shared by author Tran Thuy Hang 2 years ago, and became the material and inspiration for him to compose the song "What Mom Didn't Tell".
