On October 12, at Thong Nhat Park (on Le Duan Street), the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the People's Committee of Hai Ba Trung Ward, Thong Nhat Park Company, Bao Viet Life Insurance Corporation and Tan Ha Noi Arts Company to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the "Heart of Love for Vietnam" symbol block on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the twinning of Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City (October 8, 1960 - October 8, 2025) and the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025).
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Le Thi Anh Mai said that on the afternoon of October 3, 2025, the Department held a meeting to evaluate and approve the content and artistic form of the symbol block. Opinions in the minutes of the meeting of the Art Council and related agencies found that the symbol block designed by the company has a clear idea, appropriate aesthetic form, and artistic value; the location of the symbol block is appropriate, meeting the requirements of urban aesthetics and public space.

The “Heart of Love for Vietnam” symbol block is made with the image of a bronze drum and a dove of peace . The bronze drum is a long-standing cultural symbol of the Vietnamese people – a sacred symbol, representing the power, beliefs and solidarity of the ancient Vietnamese people in the Dong Son culture.
As the person who came up with the idea for the symbol, artist Nguyen Thu Thuy shared: “The bronze drum is placed inside a stylized dove, representing the Vietnamese people’s desire for peace. On the two sides of the word ‘Vietnam’ are the geometric patterns of the bronze drum. On the surface of the word are familiar images of natural landscapes and architectural heritages representing the rich history of the three regions of North – Central – South.”
On the symbol, the public can see images of many cultural heritages, destinations, and famous landscapes of Vietnam. The North has typical architectural images of the thousand-year-old capital Hanoi such as: Khue Van Cac, One Pillar Pagoda, Hanoi Flag Tower, Opera House, Long Bien Bridge, History Museum, National Assembly House, Hanoi Museum, Military History Museum... along with images of Ha Long Bay and Mu Cang Chai terraced fields.
The Central region has typical architectural images of Hue city such as: Imperial City, Dong Ba market, Truong Tien bridge; and constructions of Da Nang such as Golden Bridge Ba Na Hills, Hoi An ancient town, Japanese Covered Bridge, Po Klong Garai Cham tower.
The South has typical architectural images of Ho Chi Minh City such as: City People's Committee Building, Nha Rong Wharf, Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market, Bitexco Building... and images of rivers in the West.

The “Heart of Love for Vietnam” symbol is made of reinforced concrete, covered with blue glazed ceramic painted on a white porcelain background. Three artists of the New Hanoi Art Company, including Nguyen Thu Thuy, Nguyen Thanh Tung and Nguyen Thanh Ha, spent a lot of time and effort to complete this unique work of art. Some typical architectural images of Da Nang have contributed sketches by artist Nguyen Dang Tuan (Quang Tri).
The launch of the "Vietnam Love Heart" symbol at Thong Nhat Park is expected to create more attractive and meaningful check-in points for people and tourists when coming to the capital.
