On October 9, 2025, the Center for Disease Control came to supervise environmental sanitation, treatment of flooded domestic water sources, and disease prevention and control during the storm and flood season at the Tam Kim Commune Health Station and Nguyen Binh Commune Health Station.

Due to the impact of storms No. 10 and No. 11, in Tam Kim commune, 7 households and 177 households in Nguyen Binh commune were deeply flooded. Immediately after the water receded, Tam Kim Commune Health Station and Nguyen Binh Commune Health Station deployed environmental disinfection spraying work at flooded households.

Here, the working group of the Center for Disease Control came to monitor the reality at some flooded households and took 5 water samples at the Health Station and households to test for hygiene and safety indicators after the storm; monitored the use of materials, chemicals, and medicine to prevent infectious diseases occurring after floods and common diseases; provided instructions on how to use the handbook on domestic water treatment and environmental sanitation during the rainy season. At the same time, coordinated with the Commune Health Stations to distribute and instruct on how to use Aquatabs disinfectant tablets to 15 households in the area.

Through actual monitoring , the Working Group requested the 2 Commune Health Stations to continue to proactively implement environmental treatment and water source treatment activities ; collect and treat waste according to regulations; check and monitor the hygiene status and quality of clean water at households that exploit water for domestic use; closely monitor the situation of infectious diseases to promptly detect and prevent widespread outbreaks.

Monitoring, support and guidance on water treatment and environmental sanitation during and after floods contribute to disease prevention, protect public health and help people overcome difficulties with peace of mind, quickly return to normal life and production.
