Accordingly, representatives of the Institute of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Application (AI4Life - Hanoi University of Science and Technology) presented a report introducing AI models serving smart healthcare, including outstanding projects: CT2PET Translation - converting CT images to PET for non-invasive diagnosis; VAIPE - smart healthcare system supporting remote health monitoring; CARER - a model for predicting personal health risks based on electronic medical records (EHR) data. These studies show the potential for applying AI in early disease prediction, supporting doctors in making clinical decisions and personalizing treatment.
In addition to in-depth content on AI, OSB Holding Group presented solutions for covering "depressed areas" and ensuring satellite communication connections to serve digital transformation of healthcare in mountainous areas.
The “One Satcom Box” solution is introduced as a multi-purpose device that helps connect to the Internet, voice calls and transmit medical data via satellite, effectively serving remote communes where there is no stable telecommunications infrastructure. In addition, OSB also shared its experience in implementing volunteer projects “Digital Schools in Highlands” in Yen Bai and Dien Bien, bringing opportunities for Internet connection and digital learning to teachers and students in disadvantaged areas.
At the workshop, a representative of the Department of Health of Dien Bien province said that in the process of implementing digital transformation in healthcare, the locality still faces many difficulties, especially in terms of unsynchronized information technology infrastructure, lack of specialized human resources in technology, and limited investment funding to upgrade the system. Many medical facilities at the commune level and in mountainous areas are still using old equipment, unable to connect and share data smoothly. The Department of Health hopes to continue to coordinate with technology units and research institutes to share experiences, gradually building a synchronous and intelligent digital healthcare system to better serve people in mountainous areas .
