The Director of the Department of Health and the working group moved to Quang Hoa Medical Center to inspect the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 11.
Due to the influence of storm No. 11, heavy rain and flooding occurred in the province. On the evening of October 7, 2025, Comrade Nong Tuan Phong, Director of the Department of Health, came to inspect the work. On the morning of October 8, 2025, the comrade had a working session with the Center for Disease Control on the plan to overcome the consequences of storm No. 11. At the meeting, comrade Be Thi Bach, Director of the Center, reported on the plan to prepare to overcome the consequences of storm No. 11. Specifically, the unit has fully prepared equipment and chemicals, and the disinfection spraying teams are ready to carry out the task in the spirit of spraying disinfectant chemicals wherever the water recedes. Regarding the work of guiding and supporting water treatment, officials are supporting in Kim Dong commune and there are plans to support the next locations with heavily affected areas. Previously, the Center transported and relocated equipment in departments and rooms that were forecast to be flooded to a safe place; fully prepared plans, equipment, supplies, and chemicals.

In his speech, Mr. Nong Tuan Phong, Director of the Department of Health, highly appreciated the efforts of the Center in coordinating the implementation of environmental and water treatment during the recent storm No. 10. At the same time, he directed the Center to continue to inspect and review all existing equipment; reorganize human resources and assign tasks in accordance with the current situation; promptly reflect information related to the activities of the health sector in responding to and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 11; propose to the Department of Health any problems and difficulties in the implementation process. During and after the flood, many types of epidemics will and may occur, so the Center needs to have a plan and solution to implement epidemic prevention work; coordinate with related units to focus on implementation and guidance on spraying disinfectants to treat the environment and water sources in flooded areas.

On the same afternoon, Director of the Department of Health Nong Tuan Phong inspected the work of overcoming the consequences of the impact of storm No. 11 at Quang Hoa Medical Center; Methadone treatment facility for opioid addiction at Phuc Hoa Commune Health Station. These are two facilities that were flooded due to the impact of storm No. 11, both of which had their entire premises flooded, however, basic medical equipment was not affected because there was a plan and staff and workers were mobilized to move to a safe location. The Director of the Department of Health directed to continue cleaning, washing, and sanitizing departments, corridors, and related items as soon as the water was receding; and to rearrange equipment and items accordingly. At the same time, disinfecting and treating the environment were carried out to ensure that medical examination and treatment were not interrupted.
