Due to the impact of storm No. 11, the province experienced prolonged heavy rain, causing landslides and localized flooding in many areas. According to the report of the hydrometeorological agency, the water level of the Bang River at 3:00 p.m. on October 7, 2025 reached 184.40 m, 1.90 m higher than the alarm level III, posing a high risk of flooding and landslides along the river.
At the time of inspection at 2:30 p.m., the area close to the riverbank behind Facility 2 The Provincial General Hospital has experienced subsidence and wall cracks due to the strong currents, threatening the safety of the hospital's facilities. Faced with the complicated developments of the floods, the Provincial General Hospital's Board of Directors has urgently mobilized forces to move assets and medical equipment to a safe place, especially the X-ray machine and the industrial washing and drying system on the first floor which are being urgently dismantled and moved to avoid damage.

After the on-site inspection, Director of the Department of Health Nong Tuan Phong acknowledged the proactive and urgent spirit of the leadership and staff of the Provincial General Hospital. He directed the hospital to continue to closely monitor the development of floods and storms, proactively develop plans to ensure the safety of patients, medical staff and property, especially in areas at risk of landslides and deep flooding.
He requested to increase 24/7 on-duty staff, prepare plans to evacuate patients in case of emergency, and closely coordinate with the Department of Health, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue to promptly receive information, guidance and support when necessary.
He emphasized that in all situations, ensuring the safety of patients and medical staff is the top priority. Medical facilities in the area need to proactively activate disaster response plans according to the risk level, ensuring that medical examination and treatment activities are not interrupted, especially in the context of complicated weather developments like the present.
Currently, the Cao Bang Provincial Department of Health continues to closely monitor the flood situation, maintain communication with medical units in the whole industry, and is ready to mobilize support resources when incidents occur, ensuring the most effective work in preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
