The Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and Grab Vietnam cooperate to improve digital transformation skills for Vietnamese students and youth.

On September 29, 2025, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and Grab Vietnam officially signed a 3-year memorandum of understanding with the goal of coordinating to build support and development activities in the roadmap to equip Vietnamese students and youth with digital transformation skills.

With an extensive cooperation program and roadmap, this agreement will contribute to training young human resources for the country's industrialization, modernization and international integration process.

The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement took place at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, witnessed by comrades: Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association; Vy Tu Lieu, Director of the Department of People's Organizations, Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Director of the General Staff Department, Office of the Party Central Committee; Nguyen Kim Quy, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Youth and Children's Affairs Department, Permanent Vice President of the Central Vietnam Youth Union; Le Hai Long, Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Youth and Children's Affairs Department, Permanent Vice President of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; Lam Tung, Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Youth and Children's Affairs Department, Permanent Vice President of the Central Vietnam Student Association, Director of the Center for Support and Development of Vietnamese Students and Nguyen Duc Nguyen, Deputy Head of the Central Youth and Children's Affairs Department, Vice President of the Central Vietnam Student Association.

On Grab's side, the event was attended and witnessed by Mr. Alex Hungate, President and Chief Operating Officer of Grab Group; Mr. Yee Wee Tang, Chief Operating Officer of Grab Group; Mr. Ma Tuan Trong, Managing Director of Grab Vietnam.

Within the framework of cooperation, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and Grab Vietnam will work closely to implement a roadmap to equip Vietnamese students and youth with digital transformation skills.

The two sides will jointly promote activities, creating conditions for union members, youth, students to develop digital knowledge and skills, access and apply technology in practice; thereby aiming to build a comprehensively developed young generation, meeting the human resource needs of the digital economy . At the same time, the two sides will also promote the role and potential of students, using digital platforms as tools to create more value for the digital economy, thereby bringing many benefits to the community and society.

The two sides will cooperate in three main areas.

The first is to create conditions for students and young people to access and exploit technology applications, promoting the digitalization process in life. The two sides will carry out communication activities to raise awareness and interest of the younger generation on topics of smart traffic, green traffic, digital transformation, digital economy, sustainable development, innovation, creativity...

With the support of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, Grab Vietnam will provide convenient services and advanced technology solutions to optimally support students and young people in their daily life, study and work.

The second is to improve digital knowledge and digital skills for the young generation of Vietnam, preparing them to enter the digital economy.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and Grab Vietnam will coordinate to organize seminars and talks on career orientation, necessary skills and understanding of the real working environment in the technology industry. The two sides will also coordinate to organize for students majoring in e-commerce, technology, business, etc. to participate in experiencing the real working environment at Grab Vietnam.

With this content, the two sides aim to create conditions for young people and students to access knowledge and practical experience from experts in the fields of technology and business.

Third is to accompany students and youth in physical, skill and cultural activities. The two sides will coordinate to organize support and companion activities, create playgrounds and exchanges for students on special occasions such as the first day of school, exam support, and cultural, sports and entertainment events.

At the same time, the two sides will cooperate in implementing volunteer activities and campaigns, creating opportunities for students and young people to contribute and join hands to create common values ​​for the community.

The cooperation agreement with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association is one of Grab's next activities in its strategy to accompany the National Digital Transformation program.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, comrade Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, said: “The Vietnam Student Association identifies accompanying and supporting students as a core and continuous task. We always strive to build many models and solutions to help students have an environment for learning, training and comprehensive development, have guaranteed living conditions and have healthy physical health, a rich and healthy spiritual life.

In that journey, the companionship of enterprises with high social responsibility is extremely important and necessary. The signing of the cooperation program between the Vietnam Student Association and Grab Company Limited for the period 2025-2028 is very important, not only bringing practical benefits, but also contributing to creating a solid foundation for the long-term development of the young generation, helping Vietnamese students become brave, confident and integrated global citizens, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the country."

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Ma Tuan Trong, Managing Director of Grab Vietnam, shared: “Grab is committed to a future where all Vietnamese people can access better opportunities in the digital economy. Over the past 11 years in Vietnam, we have always strived to make digital services more accessible to all Vietnamese people. Today's cooperation with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association is Grab's long-term commitment to accompany Vietnamese youth and students on the path of digital transformation, helping them become pioneers in the digital economy. Moreover, we believe that the cooperation between the two sides will also open up many opportunities to contribute to promoting the sustainable development of the knowledge economy and building a strong digital Vietnam in the future.”

In recent times, Grab has been actively implementing educational support programs to empower the young generation of Vietnam. Most recently, Grab has announced the GrabScholar scholarship program to provide opportunities for students to receive full scholarships and study support, contributing to further motivation for them to firmly conquer knowledge and grasp the future. The program will award 300 study support scholarships and 06 full scholarships throughout 4 years of university to students in Vietnam. At the same time, Grab also participates in professional consulting and sponsors business-marketing competitions at universities, accompanying students during the school year and exam season.

The cooperation agreement with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association is one of Grab's next activities in its strategy to accompany the National Digital Transformation program. Previously, Grab signed important Memorandums of Understanding with Hue City and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong to promote digital transformation in many fields, focusing on transportation and tourism, thereby actively contributing to the socio-economic growth goals of the cities.
