Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy has a new principal

Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat received the decision to recognize him as the Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

On October 19, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy announced the decision of the Ministry of Health to recognize Associate Professor - Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat as the school's Principal for the 2020 - 2025 term.

Born in 1977 in Binh Duong , Associate Professor - Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat started working at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2003 as a lecturer and has held many management positions at the school's units.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Health, requested the Party Committee and the school board to review the regulations on the operation of the school council, the working regulations of the school, and have regulations on close coordination between the school board and the school board to avoid overlaps and internal conflicts. Implement well the planning, organize training and development to prepare the next generation of human resources.

The Deputy Minister of Health also suggested that the school focus on performing well in professional work, researching and opening a number of new majors, with priority given to anatomy, psychiatry, forensic medicine, and off-site doctors...

The Ministry of Health's recognition of Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat as Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy has ended nearly 4 years of the school without a principal.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Tran Diep Tuan, Chairman of the School Board, said that over the past two years as Vice Principal in charge, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat has shown trust in the school.

Sharing his vision from now to 2030-2045, Professor Dr. Tran Diep Tuan determined to develop the school into an international standard university, among the top 100 schools in Asia with a solid education and training foundation, an excellent research center with strong research groups recognized globally...

According to the Chairman of the School Board, Top 100 is an ambitious vision, but it is the aspiration of the school as a whole and we must strive to achieve it.

With this recognition decision, the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy has 3 members including Principal Ngo Quoc Dat and Vice Principals Associate Professor - Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan and Associate Professor - Dr. Nguyen Van Chinh.
